DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Field of Industrial Application The present invention relates to a method for forming color-coded patterns on the surface of resin molded products such as moldings, bumpers, finishes, etc. for vehicles made of thermoplastic synthetic resin. It is related to.

Conventionally, when forming this type of color-coded pattern on a resin molded product for a vehicle, a mask M positioned at a predetermined location for each color is placed over the resin molded product X, as shown in FIGS. 10a and 10b. The object is usually shaped using a coating film made by applying paint to the surface.

However, when applying this type of painting, the mask M must be moved according to the number of colors and the painting must be repeated several times, which is not only extremely time-consuming, but also tends to cause misalignment of the paint film, making it difficult to maintain beautiful parting lines for each color. It is difficult to finish. It is also conceivable that the painting procedure would be to paint the entire patterned part with one color and then apply a coating film of a different color on top of it in a staggered manner. However, in this case, unless each coating film is formed fairly thick, at least 30 μm, the color tone of the coating film will be seen through the coating on the lower side. Moreover, thickening each coating film is not preferable because it tends to cause peeling and scratching.

On the other hand, a soft vinyl chloride attachment material is placed on the base surface of a daily necessities made of a hard plastic board such as styrene or acrylic, and the attachment material is heated and softened using a pressing die with a blade of a predetermined shape. At the same time, it is known to weld an applique material to a base surface by applying a high-frequency current to the press mold to provide an applique (Utility Model Publication No. 49-99977). However, this method merely provides a single color attachment, and since the attachment material is simply welded to the base surface, peeling and surface abrasion are likely to occur.

Means for Solving the Problems In the color-coded pattern for resin molded products according to the present invention, a plurality of resin molded products made of thermoplastic synthetic resin are compatible in terms of material and are also compatible with each other. By combining resins with different colors,
Each of the resin sheets is arranged and placed on the surface of a resin molded product as a single sheet material, and a color-coded pattern corresponding to a single character, figure, symbol, etc. is cut out from this sheet material using a hot press die and melted and cut. At the same time as it is attached to the surface of the resin molded product, a recess is formed on the surface of the resin molded product by pressing with a heating die, and the color-coded pattern is inserted and welded into the recess.

Function: In this method of forming a color-coded pattern, one color-coded pattern is formed from the sheet material that is assembled by arranging multiple resin sheets of different tones, so the parting lines for each color do not mix with each other. The entire pattern can be formed into something extremely beautiful. In addition, because the resin molded product and each resin sheet are compatible, they are fused and fixed together, so it is possible to create a relatively thick wall by simply welding the sheet material to the surface of the resin molded product using a heated press die. Color-coded patterns can be firmly attached and formed even on resin molded products, and
Since recesses are formed on the surface of the resin molded product by pressing with a heated press die, and the color-coded patterns are inserted and welded into the recesses, it is possible to prevent the color-coded patterns from peeling off or surface abrasion.

The color-coded pattern 1 shown in Fig. 1 is a resin molded product 2 made of a relatively thick thermoplastic synthetic resin such as soft polyvinyl chloride resin or polypropylene resin, such as a molding, bumper, or finisher for a vehicle. installed on the surface. Further, the color-coded pattern 1 is formed by cutting and welding a sheet material 3 formed by combining and aligning a plurality of resin sheets having different color tones 1a to 1d. As this sheet material 3, a material that is compatible with the resin molded product 2 in terms of material and is also compatible with each other in terms of material is used. It is sufficient to use one made of synthetic resin. Further, as the sheet material 3, as shown in FIG. 2, a plurality of resin sheets 31a to 31e having different color tones and different widths can be stacked and arranged in sequence. The resin sheets 31a to 31e can be arranged in any color, but for example, it is preferable to arrange them so that the colors gradually become lighter from the bottom to the top because the colors do not show through and a beautiful color-coded pattern can be formed. . Instead of this sheet material, each resin sheet 32a to 32 is made by overlapping one side as shown in FIG.
A sequential arrangement of e can be used. Further, as shown in FIG. 4, resin sheets 33a to 33e of different colors are made by butting each end edge to the base sheet 33.
A combination of these may also be used. Note that each resin sheet may be formed to have a thickness of about 50 μm.

When forming the color-coded pattern 1 using this sheet material 3, as shown in FIG.
is placed on the surface of the resin molded product 2, and a metal press die P having a pressing surface having the same shape as the outline shape of the color-coded pattern 1 is pressed against the sheet surface to clamp the resin molded product 2. At this time, the press mold P is preheated to about 150°C to 200°C. In addition, resin molded product 2 is also 40℃~50℃
It is preferable to heat the material to a certain degree so that it retains some elasticity. When the pressing surface of the pressing die P is brought into contact with the sheet surface and the pressing die P is further lowered, the surface of the preheated resin molded product 2 is elastically inserted slightly through the sheet material 3. As shown in FIGS. 6 to 8, the sheet material 3 is embedded in the recess created by this insertion of the surface, and each resin sheet is welded to each other by the heating of the press P. By welding it to the surface of the resin molded product 2, which softens and melts with heat, it can be formed into a single color-coded pattern. The color-coded pattern allows the boundaries between each color to be clearly depicted and is firmly fixed to the surface of the resin molded product 2. When a surplus portion is generated due to the shape welding by the press die P, it can be fused at the edge of the press die P, so that after the press die P is raised, the excess portion can be removed by simply pulling it lightly.
Furthermore, when a plurality of color-coded patterns are provided adjacent to each other, a very beautiful pattern can be obtained by providing each color-coded pattern in a uniform color.

Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the method for forming a color-coded pattern on a resin molded product according to the present invention, a color-coded pattern is formed by welding and integrally joining resin sheets of different colors to the surface of a resin molded product. As a result, the boundaries between each color can be clearly formed and extremely beautiful patterns can be formed. Also, since each material is compatible, they can be welded and bonded together, resulting in extremely high peel resistance. As the sheet is pressed, it fits and welds into the recess formed on the surface of the resin molded product, so the end is less susceptible to external force and can be prevented from turning over.
