(Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to the improvement of composite materials for eyeglass frames, watch sides, watch bands, net bracelets, etc.
More specifically, the present invention relates to a decorative composite material that has strong cladding strength and excellent brazing properties. (Prior Art and its Problems) Recently, there has been a demand for lightweight ornaments among various ornaments in order to enhance activity. Recently, Ti or Ti alloys have been used as materials for decorative items to meet these demands. However, Ti or Ti alloys have poor brazing characteristics, and in order to provide strong strength, it is necessary to braze in a high vacuum or under a special atmosphere, and improvements in this point have been desired. As one of the means, as shown in Fig. 3, Ti
Alternatively, a Ti alloy is used as the core material 1, and a material 2 with good corrosion resistance and brazing properties is used on the outside, such as Ni.
A method of cladding with alloys, Au alloys, platinum group alloys, stainless steel, etc. has been adopted. However, although this method has the advantage of preventing the oxidation or nitridation of the Ti or Ti alloy core material 1 and allowing easy brazing in the atmosphere, the decorative composite material 3 is rolled and made into a sheet material. 4, and when this plate material 4 is brazed in the atmosphere at 600 to 900°C using a brazing material 5 such as Ag brazing or Au brazing as shown in Fig. 4, the interface between the core material 1 and the outer material 2 very fragile
Since intermetallic compounds 6 such as Ti-Ni and Ti-Au are generated, this has a fatal drawback of peeling off from the layer of intermetallic compounds 6 after brazing. (Object of the Invention) The present invention was made in order to eliminate such drawbacks, and provides a decorative product that can be brazed in the atmosphere, has extremely high brazing strength, and does not peel off from the upper and outer materials. The aim is to provide composite materials. (Structure of the Invention) As shown in FIG. 1, the composite material for decorative articles of the present invention consists of a Ti or Ti alloy 1 plated with Sn, and on the outside thereof 2.5 to 50% by weight of Ni and 0.01 to 10% of Sn. A Cu alloy containing 10% by weight is clad as the intermediate layer 7, and a material 2 having good corrosion resistance and excellent brazing properties such as Ni alloy, Au alloy, platinum group alloy, stainless steel, etc. is coated on the outside of this intermediate layer 7. Either one of them is clad. Here, the Cu-Ni-Sn alloy was used as the intermediate layer because Ti and Cu-Ni were used during hot extrusion and strain relief annealing.
This is because the -Sn alloy causes interdiffusion to form a Ti-Cu-Ni eutectic structure, thereby strengthening the bond.
The reason for limiting Ni to 2.5 to 50% by weight is that if it is less than 2.5% by weight, Cu will preferentially combine and only a Cu-Ti layer will be formed, whereas if it exceeds 50% by weight, only a Ni-Ti layer will be formed and these will be This is because it is more brittle than the Ti-Cu-Ni eutectic, which causes peeling. Furthermore, the reason why Sn is added is to prevent abnormal growth of the Ti--Cu--Ni layer and to prevent peeling if the brazing temperature is raised too much. This is Ti
This is because Sn and Cu combine preferentially over Cu and Ti to form a Sn-Ti solid solution, and this alloy is not brittle even when grown. The reason why the amount of Sn is set to 0.01 to 10% by weight is that if it is less than 0.01% by weight, there is no effect, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, it becomes difficult to process. Furthermore, the reason for using Sn-plated Ti or Ti alloy is to prevent Ti from oxidizing during the manufacturing process of the composite material and to obtain a composite material with high bonding strength. Next, in order to clarify the effects of the composite material for decorative articles of the present invention, specific examples and conventional examples will be described. Example 1 A Ti bar with a diameter of 47 mm was plated with 5μ of Sn, and then covered with a Cu-Ni 20% by weight-Sn2% alloy,
On top of that, Ni-

core material 1, and a 0.017 mm thick Cu-
A Ni-Sn alloy is clad as an intermediate layer 7, and a Ni-Cr alloy 2 with a thickness of 0.25 mm is clad on the outside of this intermediate layer 7 to form a composite material 3' for ornaments, which is rolled to a thickness of 0.75 mm. A plate material 4' having a thickness of mm was prepared, and this plate material 4' was brazed in the atmosphere at 830°C using a brazing filler metal 5 containing 28% by weight of Ag-Cu, as shown in FIG. 2, to obtain a test piece. Example 2 A Ti-Al3 wt%-V2 wt% alloy bar with a diameter of 47 mm was plated with 5μ of Sn by sputtering, and this was covered with a Cu-Ni30 wt%-Sn3 wt% alloy.
12K gold is placed on top of it, and by extrusion, drawing, etc., a Ti alloy is used as a core material 1 with a diameter of 3 mm, and a Cu-Ni-Sn alloy is clad as an intermediate layer 7 on the outside, as shown in Fig. 1. 12-karat gold with a thickness of 0.25 mm is clad on the outside of this intermediate layer 7 to form a composite material 3' for ornaments, which is then rolled to form a plate material 4' with a thickness of 0.75 mm. As shown in Figure 2, Ag-
A test piece was obtained by brazing in the atmosphere at 830°C using brazing filler metal 5 containing 28% by weight of Cu. (Conventional example) A Ti bar with a diameter of 49 mm is covered with a Ni-Cr 10% alloy, and as shown in Figure 3, by extrusion, drawing, etc., a Ti core material 1 with a diameter of 3 mm is formed, and a thickness is formed on the outside of this. A 0.25 m thick Ni-Cr alloy 2 is clad to form a composite material 3 for ornaments, which is then rolled to form a 0.75 mm thick plate material 4, as shown in Fig. 4.
A test piece was obtained by brazing at 830° C. in the atmosphere using a brazing material 5 containing 28% by weight of Ag-Cu. However, when the test pieces of Examples 1 and 2 and the conventional example were subjected to a tensile test, the results shown in the table below were obtained.

装飾品用複合素材として画期的なものと云える。[Table] As is clear from the above table, the test pieces of Examples 1 and 2 have significantly higher breaking strength and bonding strength than the conventional test pieces. In addition, in the conventional test piece, the joint surface between the core material 1 and the outer material 2 was a fracture surface, whereas in the test piece of the example, the base material was a fracture surface, and the joint surface between the core material 1 and the outer material 2 was a fracture surface. It can be seen that the bonding strength is high. (Effects of the Invention) As detailed above, the composite material for decorative items of the present invention can be brazed in the atmosphere, has excellent brazing workability, has extremely high brazing strength, and
Since the Ti or Ti alloy and the outer corrosion-resistant material do not peel off, it has excellent durability and functionality, and can be said to be an innovative composite material for lightweight decorative items.
