In holography, an information source, that is, an object, is illuminated with laser light, etc., and after the light is transmitted or reflected and becomes a state containing information (information light), this is used as a second light called a reference light and a photosensitive substrate, etc. This is a three-dimensional image recording and reproducing technology that causes interference on a photosensitive material, stores information as a hologram in the form of interference fringes, and reproduces a three-dimensional image by applying light as necessary.

Rainbow holograms can be reproduced with white light and create sharp, beautiful images consisting of a continuous spectrum of colors, so they are eye-catching and highly decorative, and have a wide range of applications in display displays and various decorative items. It can also be used to prevent counterfeiting by applying it to various products.

The rainbow hologram is produced in two steps using a 2-step method. That is, as a first step, a master hologram, which can be called an original, is created, which records the interference fringes between the information light from the subject, which is the information source, and the reference light. Next, in the second step, the master hologram is irradiated with light to reproduce a three-dimensional real image, and this three-dimensional real image is used as an object beam (information beam) and interference fringes with the reference beam are recorded on the photosensitive substrate again to create the desired rainbow. Get a hologram.

To explain the first stage using drawings, in Fig. 1, light emitted from a light source 1 is reflected by a mirror 2, and then split into two beams by a half mirror 3. One of the lights passes through lenses 4 and 5, and then an unexposed beam. The master hologram photosensitive substrate 10 is irradiated with the reference light 22. The other light passes through mirrors 6 and 7 and a lens 8, becomes irradiation light 23 on the subject, that is, the information source, and scattered light from the subject reaches the photosensitive substrate 10 as object light 24. Both lights interfere on the photosensitive substrate 10, and interference fringes obtained by the interference are recorded as a master hologram M.

To explain the second stage using drawings, in FIG. 2, the light emitted from the light source 11 is reflected by a mirror 12, and then divided into two beams by a half mirror 13.
One of the lights passes through lenses 14 and 15 and becomes irradiation light 23 for the master hologram M produced in the first step, that is, the information source, and projects a reproduced image 16 onto the rainbow hologram photosensitive substrate 19. Also,
The other light passes through a mirror 17 and a lens 18, becomes a reference light 22, and reaches a photosensitive substrate 19. Both lights interfere on the photosensitive substrate 19, and interference fringes obtained by the interference are recorded as a hologram on the photosensitive substrate 19, thereby obtaining the desired rainbow hologram.

By the way, the above method is a method for producing a rainbow hologram in which one hologram is recorded on one substrate, and a so-called multi-sided rainbow hologram in which a plurality of holograms are recorded on one substrate is produced. For this purpose, it is necessary to go through an additional process.

Conventionally, for this purpose, the photosensitive substrate is covered with a mask in the second step, one hologram is exposed and recorded through the mask opening, and then the relative position of the mask opening and the photosensitive substrate is shifted to cover the other hologram. A method of recording a hologram at a location by exposure, so-called multiple exposure, has been used.

The reference beam 22 is blocked by a mask 20 provided immediately in front of the rainbow hologram photosensitive substrate 19, and only the light passing through the mask opening 20' is exposed to the photosensitive substrate 19. Next, the mask 20 is fixed, and multiple exposures are performed while moving the dry plate each time an image is taken.

The above is the conventional multi-sided printing method. However, in this method, in order to produce a large number of multifaceted rainbow holograms, it is necessary to perform the above-mentioned multiple exposures for each hologram, which has the drawback of being time consuming and decreasing yield. In addition, especially when the purpose is mass duplication, since the duplication method uses a concavo-convex structure, a photoresist is generally used as a photosensitive material that forms a concavo-convex structure by development, but photoresists have low sensitivity and are sensitive to light sources. Even if laser light is used, exposure requires a long time, and exposure conditions become unstable due to unexpected vibrations during exposure, making it difficult to create precise and uniform multifaceted rainbow holograms. There was also a serious drawback.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
First, the process of exposing the image of the object 9 onto the master hologram photosensitive substrate 10 in the first step of the above-mentioned two-step method shown in FIG. 1 will be explained with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. A mask 21 having an opening 21' is provided in front of the photosensitive substrate 10 for hologram. As shown in Fig. 1, the light from the light source passes through a mirror and a half mirror and is divided into two beams, each of which is a reference beam 22 and an object irradiation beam 2.
It becomes 3. Object light 24 and reference light 2 from subject 9
2, only the light that has passed through the opening 21' of the mask 21 is exposed to the photosensitive substrate 10. For each photo shoot, apply the mask 21 to form the multi-sided arrangement you want to create.
Multiple exposure is performed by exposing the photosensitive substrate 10 multiple times while relatively moving it, and by developing it, a master hologram assembly is formed.
You can get M1 . Opening 2 of mask 21
1' is preferably in the form of a long and narrow slit in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper for the reasons mentioned above.

Next, the second step of the two-step method described above is performed.
To explain the process of exposing the image from the master hologram M to the rainbow hologram photosensitive substrate 19 in the process shown in the figure, in FIG . As shown in FIG. 2, an image is formed on the photosensitive substrate 19 by the object beam 24, and interference fringes are created between the object beam 24 and the reference beam 22, which is recorded as a multi-sided hologram, and by developing it, a multi-sided rainbow hologram can be obtained.

In the multiple exposure method of the present invention, multiple exposures are performed at the master hologram photographing stage, so when producing a rainbow hologram, multiple exposure operations are only required once, unlike the conventional method, which requires multiple exposures. The manufacturing process is much shorter than that required for each rainbow hologram. Furthermore, in the case of multiple surfaces, for example, N surfaces, the photographing time for rainbow holograms is reduced to approximately 1/N, and there is no need to register the positions of each hologram in rainbow hologram photographing, resulting in a significant improvement in work efficiency. Furthermore, since multiple exposures are performed on the photosensitive substrate for a master hologram, which uses a silver salt dry plate that is easy to photograph, in the conventional method, multiple exposures are performed on the photosensitive substrate for a rainbow hologram, which uses a photoresist with low sensitivity. Compared to the conventional method, the uniformity of the precision of the final product, a multifaceted rainbow hologram, is significantly improved, and the yield of the product is also improved.
