A known device is composed of a sponge 12 disposed in the part of the main body 11 that corresponds to the person's nose, and rubber cords 13 for ear hooks attached to both sides.

However, among the above-mentioned eye masks or light-shielding eye patches for sleeping, there is one that has elasticity around the area facing both eyes and a bulge that fits closely to the face, has good breathability, and is easy to use. There is nothing that can be manufactured through this process.

問題点を有している。 For example, the eye mask shown in FIG. 4 does not include the bulge and requires at least a process of cutting the main body and a process of sewing the peripheral edge of the main body. Furthermore, the eye mask shown in FIG. 5 above and the eye mask disclosed in Utility Application No. 62-39928 require a multi-step manufacturing process because the bulge and the main body are made of different materials or members. do. Furthermore, according to Utility Model Publication No. 89319 and Utility Model Publication No. 35-20689, although the parts of the main body that face both eyes can be recessed in a simple process, the area around the parts that face both eyes is made of plastic. It remains a sheet, and as expected,
There is a problem in that it is not possible to provide an eye mask with a resilient bulge that fits closely to the face using a single material.

Also, in Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 89319 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 35-20689, since the main body is molded from a flexible material such as plastic,
It is not possible to obtain breathability. Therefore, when such an eye mask is worn, due to its non-breathability, the area around the eyes may become stuffy, and the wearer may experience discomfort such as stickiness.

In order to solve the above problems, the eye mask according to the present invention is made by heating and pressing a soft foam (for example, black soft polyurethane) to form a predetermined shape in each part facing both eyes. It is characterized by a compressed recess.

Compressed recesses can be formed in each region facing both eyes. In other words, this means that the periphery of each recess is hardly compressed, and a bulge can be naturally formed in which the elasticity inherent in the soft foam remains almost intact. The elastic bulge is necessary to fit the eye mask on the face without any gaps, and the recess is necessary to avoid applying unnecessary pressure to the eyeballs. You can easily get an eye mask with these essential features.

Teardrop-shaped pressurizing recesses 2, 2 are formed in the eye mask 1 at portions that face both eyes of a person, respectively. The pressurizing recesses 2, 2 are portions that are compressed and processed into a concave shape by heating press, and the center portions of these pressurizing recesses 2, 2 are each provided with a hole for light entry by perforation processing during hot pressing. Five small holes 2a... are formed.

The foaming bulge 3 is a sponge-like soft part that inherits the foaming properties of soft polyurethane, and as shown in Fig. 3, it has a semicircular cross section and is similar to the area between the eyebrows of a person. The portion 3a in contact with the vicinity of the depression is formed to be further raised. A pressure plate-like portion 4 having a thickness of approximately 1 mm and a width of approximately 2 mm is formed along the peripheral edge of this foaming bulging portion 3. Pressure plate part 4
is a part that has been compressed by a hot press and processed into a high-density thin plate, but still retains flexibility. Band attachment portions 5, 5 are formed to protrude from the pressure plate portions 4 located at both ends of the eye mask 1, respectively. Each band attachment part 5 has two through holes 5.
a, 5a are formed, and these through holes 5a,
A band 6 such as a rubber cord is inserted through 5a, and this band 6 is formed into a ring shape so as to hang around a person's ear.

ことができる。 According to the above configuration, when wearing the eye mask 1,
The foamed bulging portion 3 comes into contact with the skin surface of the face. The foamed bulge 3 inherits the foaming properties of soft polyurethane, and has excellent breathability and flexibility, so the area around the eyes that come into contact with it will not get irritated and irritated.
Since it feels nice to the touch, it does not cause any discomfort when worn. In addition, its flexibility allows it to be folded, making it easy to store.
Of course, it is also possible to prevent light from leaking in from the surroundings. Further, pressurizing recesses 2, 2 are formed in the areas facing both eyes, so that they do not come into contact with the eyes (lids or eyelashes).
Since it is somewhat hardened by compression, it also has the function of preventing the eye mask 1 from losing its shape. In particular, in this embodiment, since the pressure plate-shaped portion 4 is formed along the peripheral edge of the foamed bulging portion 3, the prevention of the eye mask 1 from deforming is further improved. In addition, since it is integrally formed from a foam, it is easy to process and costs can be reduced. In this example, the main body of the eye mask 1 is obtained by subjecting relatively inexpensive soft polyurethane to one heat pressing and trimming, and then the band 6
Just attach it. Therefore, unlike conventional eye masks, there is no need for a suturing process or an air injection mechanism, making it possible to significantly reduce costs.
