However, in the case of the above-mentioned conventional outside air introduction structure, the ventilation path consisting of the chamber 2 and duct 3 arranged on the back side of the front bumper 4 allows the outside air that exits the duct 3a on the downstream side of the chamber 2 to pass through as it is. It is configured so that the outside air A
The flow rate damping effect of is only achieved by one chamber 2. For this reason, the function of preventing raindrops and snow from entering the vehicle interior mixed with the outside air A is not sufficiently performed in the middle of the ventilation passage, and there is a problem in that some of the raindrops and snow enter the vehicle interior.

An upstream duct 10 and a downstream duct 11 are connected to the chamber 8, which is surrounded by the lower side 12a (FIG. 3) of the front panel 12 and the center garnish 6 that covers the front surface thereof. One end of the upstream duct 10 faces into the space 13 with its opening 10a facing the air intake port 7. The space 13 is partitioned by a partition wall 15 into a compartment 13a on the side of the air intake port 7 facing one end of the upstream duct 10 and a compartment 13b on the side of the headlamp 14. As is clear from the drawing, the compartment 13b on the side of the headlamp 14 is arranged above the chamber 8, and one end of the downstream duct 11 faces the compartment 13b. The above-mentioned branch chamber 13b is interposed as a second chamber between the downstream duct 11 and the housing portion of the headlamp 14, and the outside air A introduced from the air intake port 7 is transferred from the upstream duct 10 to the chamber. The air is supplied to the ventilator on the passenger compartment side through an air passage forming a route of 8→downstream duct 11→branch 13b (second chamber)→headlamp 14 accommodation section.

In the case of this outside air introduction structure, the outside air A introduced from the air intake port 7 flows into the chamber 8 from the upstream duct 10 as shown by the dashed line in FIG. 1, and its flow velocity is attenuated to some extent here. Furthermore, the flow velocity is attenuated by another step as it flows from the downstream duct 11 into the second chamber, ie, the branch chamber 13b.
Finally, the headlamp 14 is supplied from the storage section to the ventilator outside the vehicle interior. Therefore, raindrops and snow that have entered the ventilation passage mixed with the outside air A are completely stalled in the middle of the ventilation passage due to the two-step flow velocity attenuation effect by the chamber 8 and the branch chamber 13b, and the raindrops and snow enter the passenger compartment. Intrusion is reliably prevented. Further, a second chamber (separate chamber 13b) disposed downstream of the chamber 8 in the inflow direction is connected to the chamber 8.
Chamber 8
The outside air A flowing into the second chamber 13b from
The raindrops and snow contained in the outside air A will flow upward against the weight direction, and the raindrops and snow contained in the outside air A will stall due to the action of the weight, effectively preventing the raindrops and snow from entering the vehicle interior. Moreover, the outside air A introduced from the air intake port 7 is guided to one side along the vehicle width direction by the upstream duct 10, and further to the downstream duct 11.
Since the air passage is folded back and guided to the other side and then supplied into the vehicle interior, the air passage is formed in a meandering shape, increasing the length of the air passage. From this point as well, a flow velocity damping effect is obtained, and the It can more reliably prevent raindrops and snow from entering the room.

(Effects of the invention) As described above, according to the outside air introduction structure of the cab-over type automobile of this invention, the space surrounded by the center garnish and the front panel is used as a second chamber, which is located in the middle of the ventilation passage. Because of the two-stage flow velocity attenuation effect of the original chamber and this second chamber, raindrops and snow mixed with outside air are completely stalled in the middle of the ventilation path, and are not allowed to enter the passenger compartment. The second chamber is located downstream of the flow velocity attenuation chamber in the inflow direction.
Since it is located above the flow rate attenuation chamber, the outside air flowing from the flow rate attenuation chamber into the second chamber flows upward against the direction of gravity, and the raindrops and snow contained in the outside air are , it also stalls due to the action of gravity and effectively prevents raindrops and snow from entering the cabin. Moreover, the outside air introduced from the air intake is guided to one side along the width of the vehicle, and then turned back. Since it is equipped with an air passage that leads to the other side and then supplies the air into the passenger compartment, the air passage is formed in a meandering shape and the length of the air passage increases, and from this point as well, a flow velocity damping effect is obtained, and the flow into the passenger compartment is increased. The effect is that the intrusion of raindrops and snow can be more reliably prevented.
