Abstract

PURPOSE:To take a photograph having little fog by using a shielding cover changed with its direction in response to the position of the sun light with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:A lens cover 14 is rotatably fitted around the lens of a camera main body, and a sun position detecting sensor 18 is provided on its upper face. The sun position detecting sensor 18 detects the incidence direction of the sun light and feeds it to a central control device 34. The central control device 34 controls a motor 36 and rotate the lens cover 14 to shield the sun light.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT A preferred embodiment of a camera according to the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. A light-shielding cover, which is rotatably provided around a photographing lens and shields sunlight, a sunlight detecting mechanism for detecting an incident direction of sunlight, and a drive unit for moving the light-shielding cover. A camera having a light-shielding cover, comprising: a control unit that controls the drive unit based on a detection result of the sunlight detection mechanism. 2. A camera having a light-shielding cover according to claim 1, wherein the light-shielding cover also serves as a lens cover.
