作業を自動化する装置が本発明者によって提案された。(Prior Art) Canned cans filled with contents, so-called real cans, are stamped on the cans when they are packaged in boxes after being sterilized by retort in bulk.
All the cans were arranged so that the front and back sides were aligned by marking, printing, or the like. This alignment work has conventionally been performed manually. However, in order to avoid high cost, by reading the markings on the can lid with a photoelectric sensor, sorting the can facing the front and the can facing the back on the conveyor, and reversing either can row A device for automating the alignment work has been proposed by the present inventor.

As shown in FIG. 1, the sensor 2 is arranged vertically to the can lid of the can 1, and the epi-illumination light is emitted from the can lid. The reflected light reflected is detected, and the presence or absence of a mark such as an engraved mark is detected based on the strength of the reflected light.

Since the diameter is about 2 mm on the detection surface, depending on the arrangement of the marks on the can lid, as shown in FIG. 2, a spot may pass between the marks and the marks may not be detected.

As shown in the figure, the detection head 2 is arranged so as to be inclined with respect to the can lid 1, and the specularly reflected light from the unmarked portion is not received as shown in the figure (a). As shown, only the diffusely reflected light by the marking 1'is received. In general, the scratches that occur on the can lid are smaller than those on the marking, and the intensity of the diffusely reflected light due to this is much weaker than that on the irregularly reflected light due to the marking or the like. Further, since the dent has a gentler inclination of its reflecting surface than that of an inscription, it is easy to prevent reflected light from the nick by appropriately selecting the inclination angle θ of the head 2.

Therefore, if two commercially available sensors are used, it depends on the set distance A between the heads. As shown in the figure, there occurs a case where neither head can be detected.

The detection heads 5, 5 ', 5 "are attached to the support arm 3 attached to the can aligning device, to the bracket 4 of the side doll, and symmetrically with respect to the axis of the support arm 3 by θ, which is 23 ° in this embodiment. Its optical axis is adjusted so that it is parallel in the side view (a) and intersects with one point in the front view (b), that is, it connects the spots on the straight line 6, and the surface of the can lid through which this straight line 6 passes. The support arm 3 is attached so that the spots of the illumination light are aligned on the can lid surface.
It is necessary to determine the detection end position C.

Therefore, it is necessary to always receive the reflected light to some extent, and the mounting angle θ of the detection head 5 becomes small, which is 13 ° in this embodiment. In this case, since there is no problem as described with reference to FIG. 2, it is possible to detect with a single head. Therefore, the bracket 4'has only one mounting portion. The attachment to the support arm 3 may be performed from either side as indicated by the solid line or the dotted line in FIG.
