Abstract

PURPOSE:To utilize resources efficiently by laminating, compressing and sewing wooden fibers made by rolling wood, and manufacturing a tatami mat bed in a better dry state. CONSTITUTION:Wooden fibers 2 made by rolling wood such as conifers, etc., are laminated, compressed and sewed in the same method as that used for the existing tatami mat bed of paddy straw to manufacture a tatami mat bed 1. If necessary, a plate-like body 3 such as a hard fiber board, foamable plastic, etc., is 1aminated to the bottom on which the wooden fibers 2 are laminated, compressed and sewed, and beside, paddy straws are mixed with the wooden fiber 2, or the wooden fibers 2 and paddy straws are laminated in a layer state to manufacture the upper part of the tatami mat bed. By using the wooden fibers keeping a dry state and permeability, better sanitary conditions can be maintained and, at the same time, it is contributed to the effective use of resources.

2. Description of the Related Art Rice straw, hard fiberboard, foamed plastic and the like are commonly used as materials for forming tatami mats. However, conventional tatami floors manufactured using these constituent materials have the following problems due to the properties of the constituent materials. (1) Since it has a high hygroscopic property or poor air permeability, it is easily corroded and easily causes harmful insects such as mites, which is unfavorable for hygiene. (2) Foamed plastics such as styrene foam are difficult to return to their original state when they are partially loaded for a long period of time. (3) Those using synthetic materials such as foamed plastic lack natural taste in terms of aroma and the like. (4) It is difficult to obtain high quality rice straw, and it is difficult to produce a large amount of uniform tatami mats.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The present invention will be described below based on the illustrated embodiments. FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of a tatami floor 1 manufactured by using wood fibers 2 formed by rolling wood as a constituent material. In the case of the present embodiment, the tatami floor 1 is manufactured by laminating, compressing, and sewing the rolled wood fibers 2 produced by the manufacturing method described later in the same manner as in the conventional tatami floor using rice straw. . The wood used for the wood fiber 2 is preferably a conifer such as cedar and Japanese cypress, but is not limited to this. If necessary, rice straw may be mixed with wood fibers, or wood fibers and rice straw may be laminated in layers to produce a tatami floor.

FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing another embodiment of the tatami floor 1 manufactured by using wood fibers 2 formed by rolling wood as a constituent material. In the case of the present embodiment, the tatami floor 1 is manufactured by laminating, compressing, and sewing wood fibers 2, and laminating a plate-like body 3 such as a hard fiber board or foamed plastic underneath. In this embodiment as well, as in the above-mentioned embodiment, the wood used for the wood fiber 2 is preferably a conifer such as cedar and cypress, but is not limited to this. If necessary, the wood fiber may be rice. The upper part of the tatami floor can be manufactured by mixing straws or by stacking wood fiber and rice straw in layers.

A method of manufacturing the wood fiber 2 used in the tatami floor 1 of the present invention will be described with reference to the process chart of FIG. First, as shown in (a), a piece of wood 4 is prepared. Any piece of wood 4 may be used, but it is possible to contribute to the effective use of resources by using thinned wood such as cedar and cypress which is currently difficult to handle. Next, as shown in (b), the wood piece 4 is cut by a cutting blade 5 to form a thin plate 6 having a constant thickness shown in (c), for example, a thickness of 3 to 10 mm. As shown in (d), the thin plate 6 is staggered by a cutting blade 7, and the thin plate 8 is further rolled by rolling rollers 9 and 9 as shown in (e). The wood fiber 2 shown in f) is obtained. In addition, wood fiber 2
The manufacturing method of is not limited to the above method,
It is also possible to obtain the wood fiber 2 by rolling the thin plate 6 as it is with the rolling rollers 9, 9. The wood fibers 2 obtained in this way are used as they are or as a constituent material of the tatami floor 1.

The tatami mat produced as described above has the following properties. (1) Wood fibers are hygienic because they can be kept in a dry state and have good air permeability, so they do not easily corrode and pests such as mites hardly occur. Further, when wood containing a sterilizing component such as cedar and cypress is used, it is possible to positively prevent the occurrence of harmful insects such as mites. (2) Since wood fiber is highly elastic, even if it is partially loaded for a long period of time, it will not be difficult for the part to dent and return to its original state. (3) Wood fiber has a natural taste because it emits the scent of wood,
You can enjoy the feeling of a forest bath while you are indoors. It is more effective to use a tatami using this tatami floor for a concrete structure that has no natural taste. (4) Since wood fibers are manufactured from wood, it is possible to manufacture a large amount of uniform fibers. Furthermore, the use of thinned wood, which is currently difficult to handle, can contribute to the effective use of resources.
