[従来技術] 従来、自動車等車両の車室換気用空気吹出し口を形成す
るレジスタケースの内部には吹出し風量を制御するため
の調整板が設けられる。すなわち、第5図および第6図
に示すように、前記レジスタケース10の端縁11の近
傍に調整板3が設けられ、前記端縁11が空調装置に連
通するダクト2内周に嵌合接続されて、レジスタケース
10の端縁11はシャープなエッジ部14を有する段差
部5が形成されることになる。このようなレジスタケー
ス10とダクト2の接続部4の吹出し口内を流れる空気
流は前記調整板3の全閉直前位置において、この調整板
3とレジスタケース10との間に生じる微小間隙Sを通
過する際にカルマン渦が発生し「ピー」という笛吹き音
(渦流音)を発生する場合があった。そこで、この笛吹
き音を抑止するために、第4図に示すように前記エッジ
部14にフエルトあるいはウレタン等の粗面材6を貼付
けたものがあるが、この場合には上記粗面材6を必要と
し、また、その貼付けのためのレジスタ装置のコストを
高める問題がある。さらに、粗面材6の貼付け時のバラ
ツキが起因して効果不安定となる恐れがある。

示し、線Yはシャープなエッジ部14を有する段差部5
の端縁11周内部ガ平坦な連続面で形成された従来例を
示す。図中、縦軸は音圧、横軸は調整板3と突条12と
の開度を示す。この考案のレジスタケース1は、調整板
3の全閉直前の位置における笛吹き音を抑制し消音効果
を発揮する。
