Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a deburring process and allow a collar to be easily fitted by forming a groove on the internal surface of a cylindrical body having C-shaped cross section and welding both sides of the groove. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical body 9 made of resin for use as a collar 10 after fitted to a wire 3 has one side made open and is formed to have approximately C-shaped cross section. Also, a plurality of grooves 91 are formed on the internal surface of the cylindrical body 9, extending from one end thereof to the other. When the wire 3 is forced into the cylindrical body 9 via the open section thereof, the diameter of the body 9 increases in such a manner that a gap between both sides 9a and 9b is expanded. Thereafter, the diameter of the body 9 is made to shrink until both sides 91a and 91b of each groove 91 come in contact with each other by using ultrasonic vibrators 6A and 6B. Then, the body 9 is made to ultrasonically vibrate on the operation of the vibrators 6A and 6B, thereby welding both sides 91a and 91b. At this welding process, a part of molten resin projects as a bur. In this case, however, the bur projects inward in a radial direction from the internal surface of the collar 10, and not externally.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and provides a method for attaching a tubular resin collar to a part of a wire exposed from a sun visor body. A tubular body having a C-shaped cross-section with an open side portion is used, and the inner peripheral surface of the tubular body extends from one end to the other end in advance and both side surfaces thereof come into contact when the tubular body is contracted in diameter. Before forming the groove, both sides contact each other, expand the diameter of the cylinder and insert the wire through the opening, and then reduce the diameter of the cylinder so that both sides of the groove contact each other. In addition, both side surfaces of the groove are welded by applying ultrasonic vibration to the cylindrical body in a state where both side surfaces of the cylindrical body are separated from each other.

When the both side surfaces of the groove are welded, a part of the both side surfaces of the cylindrical body is melted, and this melts out of the cylindrical body to form a burr. However, this burr is projected on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical body (collar) and does not project from the outer peripheral surface.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIG.
This will be described with reference to (A) and (B). According to the collar attaching method of the present invention, the collar 1 is attached after being attached to the wire 3.
A resin cylindrical body 9 having a value of 0 is used. The tubular body 9 is formed in a substantially C-shaped cross section by opening one side portion. The distance between the side surfaces 9a and 9b of the tubular body 9 is smaller than the diameter of the wire 3 having an elliptical cross section in the minor axis direction.
The wire 3 may have a circular cross section.

A plurality of grooves 91 extending from one end to the other end are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical body 9. The groove 91 has a substantially V-shaped cross section, and has two side surfaces 91a and 91b. The two side surfaces 91a and 91b are provided on the cylindrical body 9
When the side surfaces 9a and 9b are reduced in diameter so that the side surfaces 9a and 9b come close to each other, the side surfaces 9a and 9b come into contact with each other before they come into contact with each other.

The cylindrical body 9 is attached to the wire 3 as follows. That is, as shown in FIG.
The wire 3 is pushed into the inside of the tubular body 9 from the open portion. In this case, the cylindrical body 9 is elastically deformed by itself and the side surfaces 9
The diameter is increased so that the distance between a and 9b increases.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1B, the pair of ultrasonic transducers 6A and 6B are used to form both side surfaces 91a of the groove 91.
The diameter of the cylindrical body 9 is reduced until the 91 b contact each other. At this time, the both side surfaces 9a, 9b of the tubular body 9 approach each other as the diameter of the tubular body 9 shrinks, but the both side surfaces 91a, 91b of the groove 91.
Are separated from each other when they touch. At this time, the distance between the side surfaces 91a and 91b is made as narrow as possible in order to improve the aesthetic appearance at a distance such that the side surfaces 91a and 91b do not come into contact with each other even if the cylindrical body 9 is ultrasonically vibrated.

Thereafter, the cylindrical body 9 is ultrasonically vibrated by the ultrasonic transducers 6A and 6B, so that both side surfaces 91a,
Weld 91b. When the side surfaces 91a and 91b are welded, the cylindrical body 9 maintains the reduced diameter and becomes the collar 10. At this time, since the side surfaces 91a and 91b are separated from each other, they are not welded. The collar 10 has a substantially perfect outer periphery, and the outer peripheral shape of the cylindrical body 9 before attachment is determined in consideration of that point.

Collar 1 attached as described above
On the inner peripheral surface of 0, a part of the resin melted at the time of welding both side surfaces 91a and 91b of the groove 9 protrudes as burrs. However, this burr protrudes inward in the radial direction from the inner peripheral surface of the collar 10, and does not protrude outside. Therefore, the burr does not hurt the hand or hinder the rotation of the collar 10 with respect to the hook.
Therefore, the deburring step is completely unnecessary.

When a pair of semi-cylindrical bodies is used as in the conventional mounting method, it is necessary to support each semi-cylindrical body so as not to drop from the wire before welding. Since the character-shaped cylinder 9 is used, it does not fall off from the wire 3 even before welding. Therefore, it is not necessary to support the tubular body 9, and the collar 10 can be easily attached to that extent.
