Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain fowl dropping charcoal having high mineral content by drying fowl dropping and carbonizing the dropping with a rotary drum at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Dried fowl dropping of laying hens is supplied through an upper feeding port 4 into a rotary drum 1 having a rotary axis B-B inclined at an angle of 15-30 deg. from the horizontal direction A-A and provided with one or more ring-shaped barriers attached to the inner surface of the drum. The upper lid 2 is closed and the drum is heated at 800-1100 deg.C with a heating means 7 while rotating at 0.01-0.5rpm. The organic material in the fowl dropping is decomposed and mostly gasified and discharged through a gas-discharging port 6 and a slightly generated tar component is collected at the lower part of the drum. することによりカリウム、ナトリウ等を多量含有するア
ルカリ性のミネラル水が得られ、これは所定の濃度に希
釈してリンゲル液、化粧品等の原料水として使用でき
る。
