Therefore, it is necessary to improve lubricity and prevent bleeding of the writing line. There was a difficult task. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a water-based ink for a ballpoint pen, which has excellent lubricity and does not cause bleeding of writing lines.

The sucrose peel extract can be added to the ink composition in an amount of 0.1 to 5.0% by weight, preferably 0.3 to 2.0% by weight. The fatty acid or its salt can be added to the ink composition in an amount of 0.1 to 2.0% by weight, preferably 0.5 to 1.0% by weight. As the fatty acid, those generally used in water-soluble soaps and the like may be used, and those having a carbon number of about 16 to 20 are preferable. Particularly, those having about 18 carbon atoms are preferable and may be saturated or unsaturated. As the salt, those such as sodium and potassium are used.

Ethers and glycol esters such as ethylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate may be appropriately selected and contained alone or in combination of two or more kinds. These water-soluble organic solvents can be added to the ink composition in an amount of 5 to 40% by weight, preferably 15 to 30% by weight. Further, if necessary, auxiliary agents commonly used in water-based inks such as antiseptics, antifungal agents, and pH adjusters may be added.

The results are shown in the table below. The ink of Comparative Example 1 was the same as in Example 1 except that the extract of syrup and the sodium oleate in the composition of Example 1 were removed, and the water content was replaced by 63.8% by weight. It is an aqueous red ink obtained by the treatment, and the ink of Comparative Example 2 has a water content of 59.7 instead of the mukurodi peel extract and sodium ricinoleate in the composition of Example 2.
It is an aqueous black ink obtained by treating the blended composition in a weight percentage of 1 in the same manner as in Example 2, and the ink of Comparative Example 3 contains the mukurodi peel extract and sodium oleate in the blended composition of Example 3. Except for this, a water-based blue ink obtained by treating the compounded composition having a water content of 63.7% by weight in the same manner as in Example 3 was obtained.
