In the air conditioner disclosed in this publication, the attachment piece fixed to the suspender in the ceiling is attached to the outer surface of the main body. Therefore, when mounting the main body on the ceiling, first, an opening having a width dimension larger than the width dimension of the main body including the mounting pieces is formed on the ceiling surface, and the main body is inserted into the ceiling through this opening to remove the internal space of the ceiling. Attach this mounting plate to the hanging equipment. After the main body is embedded in the ceiling in this manner, the openings on the ceiling surface and the main body are covered with panels.

(C) Problems to be solved by the invention In such an air conditioner, since the mounting piece is mounted on the outer surface of the main body, the opening formed in the ceiling surface has a width dimension of the main body including the mounting piece. It was necessary to secure the installation space by making the gap larger between the outer side surface of the main body and the opening on the ceiling surface. For this reason, the panel covering the opening is inevitably large, and as a result, the installation area may be large relative to the size of the main body.
