This steel shot blasting method uses a steel grid (1-1.5 mm diameter)
The inner surface is made to collide with the pipe surface by compressed air (6 to 7 Kg / cm 2 ) and the outer surface is made to impinge on the pipe surface by the impeller system, and the scale is descaled by the impact of the collision of the steel grid.

Further, since dust is frequently generated and the working environment is remarkably deteriorated, dust prevention equipment is required, which increases equipment costs.

However, there is a drawback that equipment costs rise.

Descaling is performed using a high-hardness cut wire shot obtained by quenching in a vacuum heat treatment furnace or quenching and tempering.

Therefore, a polishing and cleaning force equivalent to that of the conventional steel shot can be obtained, and the abrasive grains have a longer life and generate less dust as compared with the conventional non-ferrous polishing and cleaning material using garnet and alumina.
