[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, such a material made of brass lacks rigidity in terms of weight, and there is a possibility that the arm may bend or bend sideways, and since it is cast, the The production is troublesome. Therefore, it is conceivable to manufacture the arm by extrusion molding or welding of a plate body using a light metal such as aluminum. According to this, although the rigidity can be increased in comparison with the weight of the conventional arm, there is a problem that the arm as a whole is large and it is difficult to use as a welding machine.

The present invention has been made in view of the above problems of the conventional technique, and the purpose thereof is to manufacture the arm base body from a light metal and to compensate the rigidity of the arm base body by a steel plate for the whole arm. An object of the present invention is to provide a welding gun arm that is compact and easy to manufacture.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to achieve the above object, the welding gun arm in the present invention has a light metal arm base body formed by extrusion molding or by welding a plate body into a hollow rectangular or hollow trapezoidal cross section. A steel plate is adhered to the surface of the base body that receives the tensile stress.

[Operation] Since the arm base is formed by extrusion molding of light metal or welding of plates, its manufacture is easy and its weight can be significantly reduced. Since the steel plate is bonded to the surface of the base body that receives the tensile stress, the tensile stress applied to the arm is prevented by the steel plate, so that the arm is prevented from bending and bending, and a lightweight and compact arm as a whole can be obtained.
