(57) [Summary] [Purpose] When sewing a pattern to be laid out in the longitudinal direction on a long cloth with a multi-head sewing machine, it is possible to increase the operating rate of a large number of sewing machine heads, and the range of the total length of the long cloth. Make it possible to sew the pattern in a short time. [Structure] A long cloth is partially held by a cloth tension frame and sewn by a large number of sewing heads. After sewing, the long cloth is repositioned in the longitudinal direction with the longitudinal direction parallel to the direction in which a large number of sewing machine heads are arranged side by side. Such sewing and position change are alternately repeated.

3 is a drive unit for driving the upholstered frame in the front-back direction 3a, 4 is a drive unit for driving in the left-right direction 4a, 5 is a upholstered frame, 6 is a bridge, 7 is its leg part, 8 is a girder part , 9 indicate a large number of heads attached to the girder portion 8, respectively. The size of the table 1 is, for example, width (length of the heads 9 arranged in parallel) of 3.4 m and depth.
It is 1.4m. The upholstered frame 5 is configured to have a size large enough to enclose a region that can be sewn at once with a large number (20 in this example) of heads 9, and has a width of 2.8 m and a depth of 0.75 m. The number of heads 9 may be about 10 of the above 20 units. The array pitch of the heads 9 is, for example, 13.54 cm. Next, 11 is a large number of heads 9 on the upper surface of the table 1.
An inlet provided at one end on the side of the arrangement direction and an outlet 12 provided at the end on the other side are formed by forming the leg portion 7 in the shape as shown in the drawing. In addition, 7a shows an establishment part, and 7b shows a horizontal installation part, respectively. Next, 14 is a long cloth to be sewn, 15 is an original roll thereof, and 16 is a supporting frame. Although not shown in the drawing, a support frame used to wind up the long cloth coming out of the outlet 12 is also provided on the outlet 12 side. Examples of the long cloth 14 include curtain cloth, cloth that is cut into shorts, and used for tailoring clothes.

First, the long cloth 14 is pulled out from the original fabric roll 15 on the support frame 16 and brought to the position of the cloth tension frame 5 on the table 1 through the inlet 11 in a state where the longitudinal direction of the cloth 14 is parallel to the juxtaposed direction of the heads 9. Then, as the first step, the cloth
14 is held by the cloth tension frame 5. Then, the head 9 is operated and the cloth tension frame 5 is moved in the directions of the arrows 3a and 4a to sew the cloth 14 in a predetermined pattern. Next, as a second step, the portion of the cloth 14 that has been sewn is removed from the cloth tension frame 5, and the cloth 14
Is moved to a longitudinal direction parallel to the juxtaposed direction of the heads 9 as indicated by an arrow 17, and the portion to be sewn next to the pattern is brought to the position of the cloth tension frame 5. Hereinafter, the first and second steps are alternately repeated to sew a predetermined pattern over the entire length of the long cloth 14. The portion of the cloth 14 that has been sewn is sent out from the outlet 12 and wound into a roll again.

The unit pattern 18 is not limited to the circular pattern shown in the drawing, but may have an arbitrary pattern arranged within the circle. Reference numeral 21 denotes a unit sewing section which is sewn by holding the cloth tension frame 5 once. 22 shows the already sewn part, and 23 shows the next sewn part. In FIG. 2, 22a indicates a previously sewn unit sewing section of the already sewn portion, and 22b indicates a two-previous unit sewing section.

If 14 is held by the cloth tension frame 5, all heads 9 (reference numerals 9a to 9e in FIG. 2) located at positions corresponding to the pattern to be formed.
(Except for the five units shown in FIG. 3) are operated to sew the unit patterns 18 in the range indicated by reference numeral 24 in FIG. 3 at a time. Next, the cloth tension frame 5 is moved in the direction of the arrow 25 as shown in FIG. 2, and the unit patterns 18 in the range indicated by reference numeral 26 in FIG. After that, the cloth tension frame 5 is returned to the original position and the long cloth 14 is released. Cloth tension frame 5
The attachment and detachment of the long cloth to and from may be performed with the cloth tension frame at either the front position or the rear position on the table.

And the pattern 18 of the other unit sewing section 21 'may become discontinuous 19 as shown in the enlarged view of the figure. However, according to the multi-head sewing machine and the sewing method, since the length L of the unit sewing section is long, such a discontinuous portion can be reduced. The distance between the discontinuous portions is the same as the above L and is very far. Therefore, even when the long cloth is used in a long state, such a discontinuous portion 19 becomes very inconspicuous.

略した。Next, FIG. 5 shows a different embodiment of the present invention, in which the leg portion 7f of the bridge 6f is constituted by a standing portion 7af on the rear end side of the bed and a horizontal portion 7bf taken out from the standing portion 7af as shown in the figure. By this, the table at the entrance 11f
In this example, the front part of 1f is opened. In this open state, the operation of pulling the leading end of the long cloth from the original roll onto the table is facilitated. A similar configuration may be applied to the exit. In the case of the above configuration, in order to prevent the girder portion 8f from being lowered due to the bending of the leg portion 7f in the bridge 6f, arbitrary structures such as a multi-head sewing machine are accommodated by the suspension rods 30 at a plurality of places of the girder portion 8f. It is good to connect to the building. It should be noted that the parts that are considered to have the same or equivalent configurations as those in the previous figure in terms of function are denoted by the same reference numerals as in the previous figure with the letter f attached, and redundant description is omitted.

Therefore, the pattern 18 can be sewn over the entire length of the long cloth 14, and in the above case, the long cloth 14 has a longitudinal direction parallel to the direction in which the heads 9 are arranged side by side. The effect is that you can efficiently sew all or most of them. This has the advantage that the operating rate of the head 9 can be extremely increased, and, as seen from the side of the long cloth 14, it is possible to sew many patterns 18 at once.
There is an effect that the pattern sewing within the entire length of the long cloth 14 can be performed in a short time.
