That is, in the structure of this conventional connector receptacle 10, the contactor 17 arranged in the insulating housing 11 is
It is like surrounding the upper wall of the housing from the rear end 11B of the insulating housing 11 to the upper wall 13B and below the inner upper wall 12B. Therefore, after each contact 17 is bent in advance to its predetermined shape. It is difficult to insert and arrange the insulating housing 11. Therefore, in this conventional connector receptacle, the contact member is arranged in a predetermined position of the insulating housing and then bent into a predetermined shape, and the bending process is performed through the insulating housing made of a soft plastic material. Is a dangerous task, and such a task is very cumbersome and time consuming.
It had raised the price of the entire connector. Moreover,
In this conventional connector receptacle, since the intermediate portion 17A of each contactor 17 is completely exposed at the upper part in the groove 15, an accident such as a short circuit between each contactor due to dust accumulation or the like may occur. There is also a problem that it is easy to cause.

As described above, the problem that the contact member has to be arranged in a predetermined position of the insulating housing and then bent into a predetermined shape, and the problem that the middle part of each contact is completely exposed to the upper part There is a modular jack as disclosed in U.S. Pat. The housing of this modular jack consists of two parts, a cover part and a base part, and the front part of the middle part of the contacts arranged in the base part is covered by the cover part and is not exposed to the upper part. Is being done. However, in this modular jack, when the modular jack is mounted on a printed circuit board, when the lower end of the mounting and fixing portion of each contact is inserted into the conductive opening of the printed circuit board, the mounting and fixing portion is a base. In order to prevent it from shifting upward with respect to the part and lifting up, the window part that allows the pressing jig to be applied to the upper part of the mounting and fixing part is provided at the rear part of the upper wall of the cover part. The rear part of the middle part of the contact is exposed to the upper part. Therefore, even in this modular jack, a part of the intermediate portion of each contact is exposed upward, and there is a problem that an accident such as a short circuit between each contact is likely to occur due to accumulation of dust or the like. It is what
Moreover, in this modular jack, the contactor is disposed in the base portion, and the contactor is disposed in the insulating housing by connecting the base portion and the cover portion. The installation work of the contactor in the insulating housing is made a little easier, but the installation work of the contactor in the base part is performed after the contactor material is installed in the base part. Since the spring contact part must be formed by bending the tip part of the child material, bending work is performed through the base part made of a soft plastic material as in the conventional example, which is a very dangerous work. Yes, there is a risk of damaging the base part, which is very cumbersome and time consuming, increasing the price of the entire connector.

Furthermore, in this modular jack, the base portion provided with the contacts is engaged with the cover portion by sliding it from the rear, and the cover portion is attached to the base portion at the position where the plug is aligned with the sleeve. The cover part must be joined to the base part by pushing it from above, so that the base part has a very complicated structure, and the procedure for joining the cover part and the base part is also complicated. It is not a simple one, and the work of arranging the contacts is complicated, and mass production by flow work is difficult.
