Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、液体吸収性使い捨て製品を対象とする。この
製品は、成人用または乳児用の完全な替えおむつとして
使用することを意図するが、それはまた月経液を吸収す
るための生理用ナプキンとして、または、包帯として使
用することもできる。
液体を吸収するという機能に加えて、そのような製品
は、一方では使用者の使用感を改善し更に特に上記液体
が浸解（macration）と呼ばれる劣化の現象を被つて
皮膚の刺戟を起すのを防ぐために、使用者の皮膚にその
液体が接触し続けることを避けなければならない。この
目的で、液体がパツドの使用者の皮膚から離れた部分に
移行することが必要である。
かくして、フランス特許第1,326,227号および第2,301,1
89号には、外面をポリエチレンシートで、そして内面を
不織布のシートで被覆された吸収性のセルロースフオー
ムのパツドからなり、全体が蛇腹状をなすように長手方
向の線に沿つて折り畳まれている使い捨て製品が提案さ
れている。このようにして形成された多数の層がそれら
の中間の領域では互いに密着し一方端の部分は、使用者
の胴回りに沿つて拡がることができる。
しかしながら、そのような製品は、以下の欠点を有す
る： 排出されたとき、液体は、セルロースのフオームの中央
部における唯一の厚みにしか遭遇しない。何故ならば、
それは不浸透性シートの存在のために種々の厚みを通過
することができないからである。同じことは、使用者の
前方および後方に位置する部分に当てはまる。何となれ
ば、衛生替えパツドは、その位置で拡がるからである。
この欠点を克服するために、米国特許第3,746,592号
は、２つの重ね合わされた層および中央部の溝を有する
Ｃの文字の形状に折り畳まれた吸収体パツドを記載して
いる。この用具は、改善された尿の分散を可能にする
が、２つの大きな欠点を有する。
このパツドは、その全表面に亘つて実質的に一定の厚さ
を有するが、そのことは、使用者の体形に適合すること
を困難にする。事実、ももの付根のまわりを、通るよう
にデザインされた部分に一定の可撓性をもたせるよう
に、一定の弾性を有する層を設けることが好ましい。
更に、液体は、使用者の皮膚にあまりにも接近した部分
に“貯まる”。
確かに、液体は、一部は外側の層に排出されるが、それ
は内側の層に戻る傾向があり、従つてそのことは、意図
した効果をかなり減少せしめる。
本発明は、改善された吸収性を有する吸収体物品を提案
し、しかも一方では使用者の体形への極めてすぐれた適
合性を与えることによつてこれらの欠点を取除くことを
目的とする。
本発明によれば、この吸収性製品は、内側の面を液体浸
透性のシート（８）で、そして外側の面を液体不浸透性
のシート（７）で覆われた長方形の吸収体パッド（18）
を含み、このパッドは、上記シート（７）および（８）
によって画定された封筒状体の内部に、それぞれウッド
パルプの２つのシート（19a、19b）であって、外側の層
が連続的であり、一方他の層が並列されそしてパッド
（18）の長手方向の軸に関して対称的に配置されている
２つのハーフ層からなっている、３つの重ね合わされた
層の集合体が、使用者の皮膚から隔たりを残している上
記外側層の方への液体のための排出溝を画定するように
形成されている使い捨て液体吸収性製品であって、上記
内部層が２つの側方延長部を形成するように外側層の長
手方向の端部を超えて延びており、外側層が上記両シー
ト（19a、19b）の間の少なくとも液体受容帯域内にスー
パー吸収体粒子を含有していることを特徴とする。
この明細書中で“内側の”という形容詞は、使用者の皮
膚に最も接近した面または層を意味し、一方“外側の”
という形容詞は、使用者の皮膚からより離れた面または
層を意味するものとする。
ハーフ層の並列によつて形成された中央の溝は、液体を
外側の層へと排出せしめ、そしてこのようにして使用者
の皮膚から出た液体を外側の層の中に貯蔵せしめること
ができる。製造および吸収能力の両方の理由から、吸収
性パツドは、単一の層から形成されそして外側の層に対
応する長手方向の中央ストリツプおよびこの中央ストリ
ツプのいずれかの側に位置しそして中央ストリツプの内
側の面の上に他の層を形成させるようにジグザグ状に折
り畳まれた（プリーツをつけられた）、少くとも２枚の
側方ストリツプを有することが好ましい。
以下に説明する理由から、パツドは、重ね合された奇数
の層からなることが好ましい。有利には、このパツド
は、３つの重ね合された層からなるであろう：本発明の
この好ましい形体は、極めて良好な吸収性と使用者の皮
膚からの充分な距離とそして液体が貯まる場所とをもた
らし、そして極めて良好な快適さをもたらす。
吸収性パツドが奇数の層を有する場合場合には、内側層
の長手方向の端部は、２つの側方への単一層の延長部を
形成するように、外側の層の長手方向の端部を超えて延
長されることもまた望ましい。上記の長手方向の端部に
おける単一層の存在は、使用者の体形へのより良好な適
合を可能にする。この場合、パツドは、いくつかの厚さ
を有する長手方向の中央帯域および単一層の長手方向の
側方領域を有する。
本発明による利点は、外側の層の中に、“スーパー吸収
体”の粒子が少くとも液体が保持される領域に存在する
ことによつて更に高められている。“スーパー吸収体”
の粒子は、水中で不溶性のハイドロコロイドポリ電解質
であり、そしてその重畳の数倍の水性溶液を吸収する。
これらの化合物は、例えば、米国特許第4,043,952号中
に記載されている。有利には、外側の層は、重ね合せた
２枚のシートから構成され、そしてスーパー吸収体の粒
子は、これらの２枚のシートの間に挿入されるであろ
う。
液体の最適の移動が確保されるように、外側の層のみが
これらのスーパー吸収体の粒子を有することが重要であ
る。
本発明の特徴を、更に、先行技術の１実施態様（米国特
許第3,746,592号参照）と比較して添付図面を参照しな
がら以下に説明する。
第１図は、本発明による吸収性製品に含まれた、折り畳
まれた吸収体パツドの縦断面図である。
第２図は、第１図の吸収体パツドの上方からみた平面図
である。
第３図は、本発明による吸収性製品にすでに組込まれた
１つの実施態様の圧縮されていない吸収体パツドの横断
面図である。
第１図において図示された吸収体パツドについてと同じ
論評が当てはまる。
第４図は、米国特許第3,746,592号において記載された
吸収体パツドの横断面図である。
第１図および第２図によれば、製品17は、内側の面18a
および外側の面18bを有する長方形の吸収体パツド18か
ら構成されており、そしてセルロース綿のシート24で支
持された、重ね合わされた２枚の長方形のセルロースフ
オームのシート19aおよび19bからなる。
吸収体パツド18は、５つの長手方向のストリツプに分け
られている： −中央のストリツプ20a、その外側の面は、吸収体パツ
ドの外側の面を形成し、そして中間領域に、２枚のシー
ト19aおよび19bの間にスーパー吸収体の粒子21が配置さ
れている。
−中央のストリツプ20aの両側に位置し、そしてその幅
が中央のストリツプ20aの半分の幅に等しい中間のスト
リツプ20b。
−吸収体パツド18の端部を形成し、その幅がストリツプ
20bの幅よりも大きい２つの側部ストリツプ20e、そして
その内側の面は、この吸収体パツドの内側の面を形成す
るようにデザインされている。
上記のストリツプがストリツプ20aの内側の面にジグサ
グ状に折り畳まれると、中央の溝22が形成され、そして
２つの単一層の長手方向の延長部もまた形成される。
折り畳まれた吸収体パツド18は、次にその外側をポリエ
チレンのシート７で、そしてその内側の面を不織布のシ
ート８で覆われる。これらの２枚のシートは、それらの
端部の全長に沿つて融接されている。
第３図によれば、製品は、セルロース綿のシート28によ
つて支持されたセルロースフオームのシート27から形成
された外側の層26とこの外側層26の長手方向の軸の両側
にこの外側層26の内側の面に配置された２対の重ね合わ
されたハーフ層29および30とからなり、これらのハーフ
層がセルロース綿のシートによつて支持されている吸収
体パツド25から構成されている。並列されたハーフ層
は、このようにして排出溝31を形成する。更に、内側の
ハーフ層30は、外側の長手方向のストリツプを形成する
延長部32を有する。上記のように、吸収体パツドは、不
織布のシート８およびそれらの端部に沿つて融接されて
いるポリエチレンのシート７によつて覆われている。
比較のために、第４図に、セルロース綿のシート34内に
納められたセルロースフオームのシート33から形成され
たＣの文字の型の吸収体パツドが例示されている。

  1. 【請求項１】内側の面を液体浸透性のシート（８）で、
    そして外側の面を液体不浸透性のシート（７）で覆われ
    た長方形の吸収体パッド（18）を含み、このパッドは、
    上記シート（７）および（８）によって画定された封筒
    状体の内部に、それぞれウッドパルプの２つのシート
    （19a、19b）であって、外側の層が連続的であり、一方
    他の層が並列されそしてパッド（18）の長手方向の軸に
    関して対称的に配置されている２つのハーフ層からなっ
    ている、３つの重ね合わされた層の集合体が、使用者の
    皮膚から隔たりを残している上記外側層の方への液体の
    ための排出溝を画定するように形成されている使い捨て
    液体吸収性製品であって、上記内部層が２つの側方延長
    部を形成するよう外側層の長手方向の端部を超えて延び
    ており、外側層が上記両シート（19a、19b）の間の少な
    くとも液体受容帯域内にスーパー吸収体粒子を含有して
    いることを特徴とする、上記使い捨て液体吸収性製品。
