合、中子を取り出す関係上、砂中子を用いざるを得ない
が、砂中子による場合細いスリット状の吐水口12を精
度良く形成することが極めて難しい。即ち、例えば中子
と鋳型との間に金属溶湯を流入させた場合、スリット形
成用の砂型凸部が金属溶湯によって流し去られ、吐水口
を精度良く鋳造することが難しくなる。また、この砂中
子は機構上片持ちとなるので、その保持が容易ではな
い。

の内周との間に細いスリット状の吐水口26がグラウン
ド形にて形成されている。
