Abstract

 TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to an improvement of a device for holding a jack bar used for operating a jack for lifting a vehicle.

[Prior art]

 For example, in a vehicle such as a small truck, a jack bar for operating a jack is often held by a cab back panel. This type of jack bar holding device generally comprises a plurality of spring clamps 14, 16 and 18 mounted on the front surface of the back panel 12 at intervals in the vehicle width direction, as shown in FIG.  In this conventional technique, the U-shaped inner diameter R of the bar holding portion is set to be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the jack bar 40 in order to prevent the jack bar 40 from rattling. When sandwiched in the holding part 22, an unspecified gap S (see FIG. 7) is formed between the jack bar 40 and the bar holding part 22, and the jack bar 40 rattles due to the vibration of the vehicle and becomes unclear from the holder part 22. There was a drawback that it caused strange noise between them. Coating the inner surface of the bar holding portion of the spring clamp is conceivable as a means for preventing the generation of this abnormal noise, but it has drawbacks that it takes time to manufacture and the cost is high.

 An embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a jack bar holding device 10 according to the present invention. This jack bar holding device 10 is similar to the prior art, for example, in a cab. The front panel of the back panel 12 comprises a plurality of spring clamps 14, 16 and 18 mounted at intervals in the vehicle width direction. As shown in FIG. 1, of the plurality of spring clamps 14, 16, 18 two spring clamps 14, 16 ensure that the straight portion 40A of the jack bar 40 is held securely. As a result, the jack bar 40 is fixedly held, but in any of the spring clamps, as shown in FIG. 3, those bar holding portions 22 contact the outer peripheral surface of the jack bar 40 at three points. In the illustrated embodiment, the bar-holding portion 22 is formed in a square shape so that the bar-holding portion 22 circumscribes the jack bar 40 at three points by bending the steel strip at two points. By bending the strip at three or more places, the bar holding portion 22 may circumscribe the jack bar 40 at three or more points. Further, when the bar holding portion 22 is formed, in the illustrated embodiment, the steel strip is bent so as to draw a curved line, but if the strength of the bar holding portion 22 is maintained, it is bent at an acute angle. Further, in the illustrated embodiment, the spring clamps 14, 16 and 18 are provided at three places, but the number thereof may be appropriately changed as long as the jack bar 40 can be securely held.
