Abstract

(57)【要約】 【構成】 本発明は抗酸化物を生成する微生物を培養
し、その培養液を粘土と混和し、500℃以上で焼き上
げ、機能性セラミックスにすることを特徴とする。 【効果】 本発明によれば植物の生育促進、水質の浄
化、悪臭の抑制に機能的に利用することができる。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、微生物を用いた機能性
セラミックスの製造に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】機能性のセラミックスの製造には、セラ
ミックス内部の物理的構造を中心とするものと触媒機能
を持つ物質を混和し焼成したものと、その両者の折中的
なものや、あらかじめ多孔質に焼成したものに微生物や
触媒などを吸着させる方法がとられている。その中でも
微生物や酵素を吸着させたバイオセラミックスは時間の
経過とともに微生物の密度に変動が生じたり、pHや温
度が大幅に変動した場合は、その機能を十分に維持でき
ないという短所があり、より安定した生物機能を持つセ
ラミックスの開発が望まれていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明は機能性セラミ
ックスの中で生物機能を持つバイオセラミックスの機能
をより安定にし、より長期的使用に耐える製品の製造を
目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明の機能性セラミッ
クスの製造方法は、あらかじめ培養した抗酸化物質を生
成する微生物を粘土とよく混和し、500℃以上で焼成
し任意に成型することを特徴とするものである。
【0005】本発明において、抗酸化物とは、種々の有
機酸、アミノ酸、タンパク質等であるが、特定な物質で
はない。すなわち、それらの微生物培養液をろ過した後
にその液に釘や鉄粉などの錆やすい金属を入れても、数
日以上も錆びない防錆力がある場合、抗酸化物質が生成
されたと判断するものである。
【0006】本発明において、粘土とは特定な性質を示
すものでなく、粘土状に加工し焼成し得る性質のもの
で、ゼオライト、麦飯石、磁器材料等も含めたものであ
る。
【0007】本発明に使用する微生物としては、放線菌
に属するものとして例えばStrepto−myces
sp.(ATCC 3004)、Streptove
rticillium sp.(ATCC 2365
4)、Nocardia sp.(ATCC 1924
7)、Micromonospora sp.(ATC
C 12452);光台成細菌に属するものとして、例
えばRhodopseudomonas sp.(R.
sphaeroides)、Rhodspirillu
m sp.(R.fulum)、Chromatium
sp.(C.okenii)、Chlorobium
sp.(C.limicola);乳酸生成菌に属す
るものとして、例えばLactobacillus s
p.(ATCC 11842)、Propioniba

lophilus)、Streptococus s
p.(S.la−ctis、S.faecalis);
糸状菌に属するものとして、例えばAspergill

どが上げられる。
【0008】それらの微生物を目的に応じて、単独また
は複合的に培養し、それらの培養液で粘土または、それ
に類する粘結材と混和し、任意に成型し、500℃以上
で焼成する。
【0009】本発明の機能性セラミックスは混和した微
生物が単独な場台は、各々の微生物独自の酵素作用を有
するようになるが、汚水の処理や有機物の分解等につい
ては、2種以上の微生物を組み台わせて焼成することが
望ましい。
【0010】それらのセラミックスは、アルコール発
酵、有機酸の生成、タンパク質のアミノ酸化などの多様
な応用が可能であるが、一方において、粉末状または顆
粒状にして土壌に施用すると、植物の生育を促進した
り、また、悪臭を消す力や汚水を浄化する機能も有して
いる。このように、本発明は抗酸化物の存在の下に微生
物の持つ情報を粘土に鋳型的に転写し、生物触媒機能を
付加し得るため、物質の酸化還元反応や有機物質の発酵
的分解など幅広い応用が可能である。

【実施例】以下、実施例及び試験例により本発明をさら
に詳細に説明するが、本発明の範囲はこれに限定される
ものではない。

【実施例1】糖蜜の4%液にStreptomyces
sp.(ATCC 3004)、Streptove
rticillium sp.(ATCC 2365
4)、Nocardia sp.(ATCC 1924

以下で培養した後に粘土に混和し、700℃で焼成し、
粉末および粒状のセラミックスを製造した。
【0013】このようにして得られたセラミックスを1
当り50g施用し、サントウサイ、ホウレンソウ、
ワケギを栽培した結果、表1に示すように10〜20%
以上の増収効果が認められた。

【実施例2】実施例1の方法で得られた粒状のセラミッ
クスを汚水を入れた50L容器の底部に約1cmになる
ように敷き、微生物を添加しなかったセラミックスと比
較した結果、水質の浄化に著しい効果が認められた。

【実施例3】実施例1で得られた粒状のセラミックスを
ろ過材として、1時間300L容の市販のろ過器に充填
し、実施例2で使用した汚水を40Lの容器に入れ、ろ
過を行った結果、水質の改善に著しい効果を得た。

【実施例4】実施例1で得られた粉状のセラミックスを
1kgの生ごみに3g施用し、密封容器に入れ10日間
放置した後に悪臭の原因物質であるアンモニア、硫化水
素等を測定した結果、悪臭の発生防止に著しい効果が認

【発明の効果】本発明によれば抗酸化物質を生成する微
生物を焼成したセラミックスは、機能性を持つセラミッ
クスとして有効に利用することができる。

  1. 抗酸化物を生成する微生物を培養し、その培養液と粘土
    を混和し、500℃以上で焼き上げることを特徴とする
    機能性セラミックスの製造方法。
