2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a power supply device for various electronic devices, a rectifier device (S) which is a combination of a capacitor input type rectifier circuit and a switching type DC-DC converter.
MPS) has been used. This SMPS has the advantages of small size, light weight, and high efficiency, but because it has a capacitor input type rectifier circuit, the input power factor is very poor at around 0.5 and the input current increases. There was a problem. As a method for solving this problem, a method of inserting a choke coil for power factor correction in series with an input line is often used because it is simple.
