Conventionally, in a sightseeing bus or the like, it is general to fix a spare tire at a position in front of the front wheels under the floor of the vehicle body. However, such an arrangement of spare tires tends to reduce the approach angle of the vehicle body. For example, in a vehicle body structure in which the driver's seat is placed at a low position to improve the forward visibility of passengers, the approach angle of the spare tire decreases as the ground clearance decreases. Occurs, and the problem that the rough road running performance deteriorates occurs. Therefore, the applicant of the present application has previously proposed a spare tire storage device capable of storing spare tires in an underfloor luggage compartment provided at a position that does not affect the approach angle (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-109021 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 63-112989).

By the way, the spare tire storage device described in the above publication stores a spare tire horizontally in an underfloor luggage compartment, and when storing and taking out the spare tire, the spare tire is stored in a horizontal state, and therefore there is about 100 kg when replacing the tire. There is a problem that heavy spare tires must be manually pulled up, and heavy labor cannot be avoided.

To this end, the present invention forms a spare tire storage recess on the side of the vehicle body between the front and rear wheels of the bus, which is covered by an opening / closing door and has an open lower surface. A manual winch for suspending a bracket, which is bolted through the wheel hole, and a guide rail for vertically movably guiding the bracket and holding a spare tire in a vertical position are installed.

In such a means, a bracket is bolted to the spare tire, and the bracket is guided by the guide rail, so that the spare tire moves up and down in accordance with the operation of the manual winch in a vertically installed state. Therefore, the spare tire can be handled while it is stored and taken out in the vertical position, and the heavy labor for changing the tire from the horizontal position to the vertical position is not necessary when replacing the tire.

Here, on the side of the car body between the front and rear wheels 4 and 5 of the sightseeing bus 1,
As shown in the figure, a spare tire storage recess 7 that is partitioned from the luggage compartment 3 by the partition wall 6 is formed. The spare tire storage recess 7 is covered with an opening / closing door 8 whose upper end is hingedly coupled, has a size capable of storing the spare tire 9 in a vertically installed state, and allows the spare tire 9 to be grounded. The lower surface is open so that it can be moved up and down. And in such a spare tire storage recess 7, a manual winch 10

As shown in FIG. 3, the bracket 12 is mounted on a mounting plate 12b which is protruded by welding and fixing a plurality of mounting bolts 12a which are inserted into the wheel holes of the spare tire 9 and fixed by nuts.
A pair of left and right support pieces 12c, 12c guided by guide rails 11, 11 described later are formed by bending.

Here, the support pieces 12c, 12c are bent outward along a plane parallel to the mounting plate 12b and extend parallel to each other. On the other hand, the guide rails 11 and 11 are welded and fixed to the side wall 6b of the partition wall 6 parallel to the side surface of the vehicle body and extend in the vertical direction in parallel with each other, and the support pieces 12c and 12c slide between the side wall 6b. It can be held freely.

With the above configuration, when the spare tire 9 is stored, the bracket 12 is first inserted into the wheel hole of the spare tire 9.
The bracket 12 is joined to the spare tire 9 by inserting the mounting bolt 12a of FIG. Then, the manual winch 10 is operated by the crank handle 10b to lift the spare tire 9, and in this state, the support pieces 12c, 12c of the bracket 12 are aligned with the guide rails 11, 11. Then, while the guide rails 11, 11 guide the support pieces 12c, 12c, the spare tire 9 is moved upward into the spare tire storage recess 7 by operating the crank handle 10b. In this way, the spare tire 9 is suspended on the manual winch 10 and the guide rails 11, 1
It is held vertically by 1 and the storage operation of the spare tire 9 is completed by removing the crank handle 10b and closing the opening / closing door 8.

When the spare tire 9 is taken out for tire replacement work, the reverse procedure of the above-mentioned storing work may be performed, and the spare tire 9 is placed on the ground in a vertically installed state. Then, the bracket 12 is removed from the spare tire 9, and the bracket 12 is rolled and moved to the place of the tire to be replaced.

As described above, in this embodiment, since the spare tire 9 can be handled in the vertically placed state, it is free from the heavy labor of causing the spare tire to be placed in the vertically placed state from the horizontally placed state. Further, since the spare tire 9 can be handled at the most lateral side of the vehicle body and at a relatively low position where the eyes can reach, safety of work can be secured.
