Reference numeral 23 is a lid that is attached to the upper portion and is provided with the discharge pipe 22. Further, 11 is a filter cloth filter case, 12 is a filter cloth, and 13 is a filtered water collecting tube. The filter cloth 12 has a bag shape and is
As shown in the figure, it is woven into a corrugated shape. Hereinafter, the bag constituted by the filter cloth 12 will be referred to as a filter cloth bag 14. The filtered water collecting pipe 13 is attached so as to penetrate the filter cloth bag 14, and the outer end portion thereof is fitted into the opening of the end portion of the case 11 while maintaining watertightness. A slit is formed on the side of the portion of the filtered water collecting tube 13 that is inserted into the filter cloth bag 14.

It That is, the raw water supplied from the water supply pipe 21 flows into the case 11, and dust contained in the raw water is removed and the hydrogen sulfide odor is adsorbed by the filter cloth and the powdered activated carbon layer on the surface thereof. In FIG.
Reference numeral 24 represents powdered activated carbon enclosed in the case 11. The powdered activated carbon 24 has been completely dried in the unused state, and is in a state of being accumulated at the bottom of the case 11 as shown in FIG. Then, when the water is passed for the first time, the powdered activated carbon 24 is diffused by the flowing water and adheres to the filter cloth 12 so as to cover its surface.

11 are set up at equal intervals along the longitudinal direction. If the filter cloth 12 is in wide contact with the inner wall of the case 11, that part cannot be used for filtration, and the filtration efficiency is reduced. Therefore, conventionally, a plurality of ribs 15 are provided upright on the inner wall of the case 11, and the ribs 15 support the filter cloth 12 so that the filter cloth 12 does not come into contact with the inner wall of the case 11 over a large area.

Then, for example, when the powdered activated carbon 24 is left in a horizontal state for a long time and transported, the powdered activated carbon 24 is biased to one place on the side of the case. Moreover, if it gets a little damp, it may set in such a biased state. In such a case, the activated carbon powder 24 will diffuse from a biased position when passing water, and will not be uniformly attached to the entire filter cloth, but will be biasedly attached to only one side. In this case, if the ribs 15 are continuously provided from one end to the other end of the case 11 as in the conventional case, water that rotates in the case 11 in the lateral direction, that is, the direction of arrow A shown in FIG. Almost never occurs,
It was not expected that the powdered activated carbon 24 would naturally disperse and become uniform.

Is a group of ribs. Of the plurality of ribs, the rib of the rib group 2, that is, the rib 2a extends downward from the upper end of the case 1 and extends to a position slightly before the center. Further, the intervals between the ribs of the rib group 2 adjacent thereto are equal. However, the ribs of the rib group 3, that is, the ribs 3a, extend upward from the lower end of the case 1, and likewise extend to a position slightly in front of the central portion. The ribs 3a are located between the ribs 2a.

That is, since the length of the ribs 2a and the ribs 3a is less than half of the total length of the case 1, water can flow laterally in the central portion of the case 1. Moreover, since the ribs 2a and the ribs 3a are alternately arranged, the water flow is divided into right and left by the ribs 2a. In this embodiment, since the water flows in a complicated manner in this way, even if the powdered activated carbon is unevenly attached to the filter cloth when the water is first passed, it will eventually be dispersed.

In FIG. 3, reference numeral 6 denotes a rib group provided on the upper part of the case 4, and each rib extends downward from the upper end of the case 4. FIG. 4 shows a case in which the case 4 is cut and opened, which will be described below with reference to FIG. The rib group 6 includes two types of ribs having different lengths. One rib 6a extends to a position slightly beyond the central portion, and the other rib 6b extends to a position slightly in front of the central portion. Further, the ribs 6a and the ribs 6b are alternately arranged, and their intervals are all equal.

By locating it between the ribs of the other rib group, this rib branches the water channel that flows in the longitudinal direction in the case, and a water flow that flows in the lateral direction occurs in the case. Even if the powdered activated carbon is unevenly attached to the filter cloth when passing water, the powdered activated carbon can be naturally dispersed by the water flow.
