As a result, one of the transistors 4 and 5 turns on first, but when the transistor 4 turns on now, the primary winding of the output transformer 3
An oscillating voltage is generated by the inductor component of 31 and the resonance capacitor 6, which generates a starting force in the feedback winding 33, and this time turns on the transistor 5. As a result, in the same manner, the transistors 4 and 5 are alternately turned on and off to start oscillation, but after that, the transistors 4 and 5 are turned on and off by the drive current supplied from the drive circuit 11 of the drive winding 34. Then, an AC output is generated through the output transistor 3 and the discharge lamp 14 is turned on. In this case, the above transistors 4,5
Since the drive winding 34 for giving a drive current to the drive winding is wound around the secondary side of the leakage transformer used as the output transformer 3, the voltage generated in the drive winding 34 is unloaded, that is, before the discharge lamp 14 is turned on. Is large and decreases after the discharge lamp 14 is turned on. This guarantees the starting of the discharge lamp 14 and reduces overdrive during lighting.

た。In the conventional inverter device as described above, the ratio of the drive current before and after lighting the discharge lamp 14 is the ratio of the voltage when the secondary winding 32 of the output transformer 3 is unloaded and when the discharge lamp 14 is lighting. ,
That is, the secondary voltage required for starting the discharge lamp 14 and the discharge lamp 14
Will be fixed to the tube voltage ratio. Normally, when a discharge lamp such as a fluorescent lamp is turned on by an inverter, a sufficient start can be guaranteed by increasing the drive current by about twice the drive current required during the starting process. However, when the discharge lamp is lit at a high frequency by an inverter, the secondary voltage required for starting the discharge lamp is 3 to 4 times higher than the tube voltage of the normal discharge lamp. In the device,
When there is no load or when the discharge lamp is faulty, the transistor is extremely overdriven, which increases reliability loss and driving efficiency loss due to increased transistor loss and drive resistance loss. There was a problem.

In FIG. 2 (a), V 1 and V 2 are shown.
Are the voltages generated in the first drive winding 35 and the second drive winding 36, V D is the composite voltage of V 1 and V 2 , and V S is the voltage generated in the secondary winding 32 of the output transformer 3. Is. Further, in FIG. 2 (b), V 1 ′ and V 2 ′ are respectively the first drive windings.
35, the voltage generated in the second drive winding 36, V D ′ is V 1 ′
V T is a combined voltage of V 2 ′ and V 2 ′, which is a voltage generated in the secondary winding 32 of the output transformer 3 and is equal to the tube voltage of the discharge lamp 14 because the output transformer 3 is a leakage transformer. Before lighting the discharge 14 etc., V 1 and V 2 are in phase and V D = V 1 + V 2 , but when the discharge lamp 14 is lighting, V 1 ′ and V 2 ′ are not in phase and their phase difference Let θ be V 1 ′ = V 1 V 2 ′ = V 2 V T / V S It is represented by. For example, if you use FLR-40 as a discharge lamp,
From the starting point, the secondary voltage V S needs to be 400 V, and the tube voltage V T is about 100 V. If θ = 90 ° Becomes When the ratio of V 1 and V 2 is changed, V D / V D ′ = 1
4 to 4, and the drive current of the transistor before the discharge lamp 14 is lit can be arbitrarily selected within a wide range from 1 to 4 times the drive current of the transistor before the discharge lamp 14 is lit, and the transistor before the discharge lamp 14 is lit The drive current of is set to the necessary and sufficient value that guarantees starting, and overdrive can be reduced.
