Such cards often use special photographic prints, and in the past, the method of lamination was generally used. This method is a good method including surface protection, but air bubbles are mixed in during lamination. However, there is a problem that after lamination, it takes time and labor such as punching for finishing and cost is increased. On the other hand, the method of directly applying the resin may be excellent in terms of cost, and for example, there is a method of using a coating roll as disclosed in JP-A-2-268864.

Are transferred all at once, a so-called trailing edge thick film is formed, uneven nonuniformity occurs in the protective layer 115, and the coating liquid is often exposed on the apparatus by a pickup roll, a coating roll, etc., which is easy to handle. There's a problem.

The phenomenon described above is completely eliminated by the coating apparatus of the present invention, and uniform coating can be performed without forming a thick film at the trailing edge.

なる。Further, particularly in a coating device using a coating roll made of metal, the coating liquid is widely exposed at the pick-up roll and the coating roll, and there are many opportunities to come into contact with such coating liquid during operation, which is a problem in handling. However, the coating device using a drooping member in the liquid injector of the present invention, and the coating device that directly supplies the required amount of the coating liquid from the coating liquid tank to the coating roller having a liquid-absorbent surface material are within the range where the operator touches the coating liquid. Since it is much smaller, it is hard to touch the coating liquid and handling is very easy.
