The extract can be produced by adding water to dried raw seaweed, crushing the seaweed with a mixer, filtering the crushed product, passing the filtrate through a column packed with 2-4 times weight of activated carbon based on the dried seaweed, extracting with a hydrophilic organic solvent (e.g. methanol, ethanol and acetone) containing 40-60wt.% of water and subjecting the eluted fraction to concentration and freeze-drying.
