[Prior Art] Conventionally, as the above-mentioned repair method, a transfer method of applying a transfer material (JP-A-59-179107) and a repair method by blowing air (JP-A-59-1790108) have been proposed. ing.

In the transfer method, it is difficult to prevent the opening of the screen from coming into contact with the hollow fiber opening, and in the case of a hollow fiber having a small inner diameter, there is a drawback that the hollow opening is likely to be crushed.

Even if the repair method by blowing air is applied to the other end surface while blowing air, it is difficult for the resin to adhere to the end surface, and once it enters the hollow fiber opening, it remains clogged and there is a drawback that many hollow fibers are clogged.

In particular, when repairing both end faces, the blown air is likely to be particularly uneven and the end faces to be repaired later tend to be blunted. Such blunting not only reduces the effective excess area, but also creates a liquid retention portion in the module, which causes problems such as bacterial growth.

That is, according to the present invention, in a module in which a plurality of hollow fiber membranes bundled in parallel are bonded and fixed to each other by a casting resin so that the hollow fiber membranes are opened at both ends, spraying an adhesive on the end faces. It is a method of applying and repairing the end face without blocking the hollow fiber membrane opening by the air pressure of the spray.

The adhesive in the present invention usually has a viscosity (measurement method; B-type viscometer, measurement temperature; 25 ° C.) of 10 to 3000 cp,
The resin is not particularly limited as long as it is preferably 100 to 500 cp, but it is preferable to use the same type of casting resin as the module, for example, epoxy resin. The method of applying the adhesive to the module end surface is performed by spraying. When applied by spraying, the air pressure is preferably 0.5 to 6 kg / cm 2 , preferably 1 to 3 kg / cm 2 . The amount of adhesive applied is 50 to 500 μm, preferably 100 to 300, on the end face.
It is better to apply it to a thickness of μm.

[Advantages of the Invention] According to the present invention, the adhesive can be applied to the module end face without blocking the module hollow fiber opening, so that the defective adhesion portion on the module end face can be repaired completely and easily. There is an advantage that the appearance of the end face, especially the smoothness of the surface is very good.

Example Polysulfone hollow fiber membrane 3200 having an inner diameter of 700 μm and a film thickness of 270 μm
The book is stored in a polysulfone cylindrical case with an inner diameter of 89 mm and a length of 1,126 mm, both ends are adhesively fixed with epoxy resin, and both ends are cut so that the hollow fiber membrane is opened after the resin cures. Got the module. The end face of this module was immersed in water, pressurized gas was supplied to the outside of the hollow fiber membrane, and the leak was examined from the generation of air bubbles. There were several leaks due to poor adhesion such as peeling between the hollow fiber membrane and the adhesive. It was confirmed that it occurred more.

First, an epoxy resin adhesive having a viscosity (measurement method; measured by B-type viscometer; measurement temperature; 25 ° C.) of 500 cp was uniformly applied to one end surface of the module by an air spray. The air pressure at that time was 1.5 kg / cm 2 , and the film thickness was about 200 μm. Leave it for about 1 hour, apply the same adhesive to the other end,
After left for 1 hour to solidify, it was cured at 50 ° C. for about 8 hours. The module thus obtained was subjected to a leak test again, but no leak part was found.
