While holding hydrogen ions in the cation exchange resin, hydrogen ions are generated by replacing other cations contained in the water to be treated, such as sodium ions, calcium ions, and magnesium ions. Impurity ions are retained in the ion exchange resin that retains the acid ions and replaces them with other anions in the water to be treated, such as chloride ions, bicarbonate ions and sulfate ions. When it becomes saturated, it is necessary to regenerate it because the ion exchange is no longer performed.

In the case of the deionized water production apparatus configured to pass a direct current between the electrodes arranged on both sides of such a deionization module, it is not necessary to use a regenerating chemical such as acid or alkali, Although various inconveniences associated with the chemical regeneration method can be solved, in the case of the conventional electric regeneration type deionized water producing apparatus described above, according to the experiments conducted by the present inventors, FIG. As shown in, the value of 5.7MΩ ・ cm (resistivity) is shown about 3 hours after the start of the treatment, but after 24 hours, it decreases to about 2.6 to 3.0MΩ ・ cm, and this state continues after that. There is a strong demand at the destination
It has been found that it is impossible to obtain a value of 10 MΩ · cm or more with conventional equipment.

The configuration of the present invention for achieving the above object will be described in detail below.
A plurality of deionization modules filled with ion-exchange resin in the processing chamber formed between the anion-exchange membrane and the cation-exchange membrane are connected in parallel, and a positive electrode and a negative electrode are arranged on both sides. In an electric regeneration type deionized water production apparatus that continuously regenerates the ion exchange resin in the processing chamber by passing a direct current between both electrodes,
The ion exchange resin to be filled in the processing chamber of each module is separated into a cation exchange resin and an anion exchange resin,
It is an electric regenerative deionized water production device characterized in that a cation exchange resin and an anion exchange resin are paired and alternately filled in the treatment chamber. It was confirmed that the value reached 10.8 MΩ · cm after 9 hours, and that the state was intermittent thereafter. By separating the ion-exchange resin into a cation-exchange resin and an anion-exchange resin and filling the deionization module in the treatment chamber in a zebra-like manner, the treated water purity was improved because the conventional mixed ion-exchange resin was used. It is considered that, unlike the case where a resin is used, the directionality of the desorbed ions becomes constant and the distance and time required for movement are shortened.
