It is about.
従来より、鋼帯用雰囲気焼鈍炉の入、出口に使用される
ガスシール用フェルトの材料には、純毛(羊毛)が使用
されてきた。Conventionally, pure wool (wool) has been used as a material for the felt for gas seal used at the inlet and outlet of the atmosphere annealing furnace for steel strips.
純毛が主流を占めている背景には、次の理由があった。The reasons why pure hair is the mainstream are as follows.
(1)化学繊維(化繊)に比べ安価であること。(1) It is cheaper than chemical fiber (chemical fiber).
(2)繊維強度が化繊に比べ弱く、かつ、繊維長が短い
こと。従って、鋼帯がシール部を通過する際に鋼帯のエ

説明するもので化繊と純毛との比較を示した。(2) The fiber strength is weaker than that of the synthetic fiber and the fiber length is short. Therefore, when the steel strip passes through the seal portion, the length of the fiber caught on the edge of the steel strip is short, the seal / felt body is less damaged and worn, and the trouble caused by the fiber in the next step is relatively small. Table 1 explains this and shows a comparison between synthetic fibers and pure hair.

Of course, when H 2 gas or the like is used as the atmosphere gas, the carbide may become a fire and a fire may occur. Therefore, in normal operation, it was necessary to strictly control the temperature of the steel strip on the exit side of the furnace. In addition, since it is natural hair, foreign matter, small lumps of fat, etc. are mixed in, which has been a cause of steel strip abrasion.

Further, since the strength is large and the fiber length is long, the felt is damaged greatly, and moreover, there are many troubles due to fiber scraps in the next step.
