てトルク伝達手段としてのプロペラシャフト及びその連
結ヨーク回りを覆うプロペラシャフトの保護カバー装置

タには動力を取り出す出力軸を、作業機には入力軸を設
けて動力を該作業機に供給しているが前記プロペラシャ
フトの両端部にはこれらの出力軸及び入力軸と連結する
ヨーク及び該ヨークに装着された十字軸からなるジョイ
ント機構が設けられる。また、これらプロペラシャフト
及びジョイント機構部分が露出していると危険なため安
全性を確保する目的で種々のプロペラシャフトの保護カ
バーが開発されている。そしてこれらのプロペラシャフ
トの保護カバーでは内周部に外輪軌道を有するものも多
い。ところで外輪軌道を有するプロペラシャフトの保護
カバーではプロペラシャフトの回転による慣性の作用で
カバーが回転方向に移動することがある。そこで移動防
止を確実に行うための一例として、例えば実公昭52−53
874号の明細書に添付された第1図に示すように、カバ
ーと機械本体に係止部を設け鎖の両端部を連結した回転

用されるのであるから樹脂保護カバーの方が鎖やフック
より強くなければならず、先に破損するのは好ましいこ
とではない。この考案はかかる課題に鑑みてなされたも
のであり、その目的とするところはプロペラシャフトの
樹脂性保護カバーの破損を防止し安全性を確保すること
