Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 公知の従来別個に使用されたピン付きシリン
ダ領域とトランスファーミックス領域とが共通の一つの
押出機内に設けられている押出機を造ること。 【構成】 押出機1を相前後して設けられている二つの
混合領域7と均質化領域8を設け、これらのうち混合領
域7をピン付きシリンダ領域として、均質化領域をトラ
ンスファーミックス領域として形成した。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】本発明は、特許請求の範囲の請求項1の上
位概念に記載したゴムおよび熱可塑性合成物質を加工お
よび製造するための押出機に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】押出機に関する技術分野において、押出
機の混合部分において金属ピンをそのシリンダを突き通
して押出材料の加工空域内に突出させることは久しい以
前から知られている。更にスクリューのウエッブをピン
が突出している位置において中断される。このような押
出機は例えば出願人のドイツ連邦共和国公開特許公報2
2 35 784号或いは30 03 615号から知
られている。
【0003】この押出機の特徴は加工すべき物質に対し
て混合作用および均質化作用が極めて良好に行われ、更
にスクリュー回転数が一定である場合材料の単位時間当
たりの押出機内の送り量を増大させることが可能であ
る。これらの利点により、ピン付シリンダ形押出機は最
近15年間(絶えず改良が加えられて来たことはもちろ
んであるが)、最も使用されている混練押出機および均
質化押出機に適用されて来た。
【0004】このような技術傾向とは別に、押出機のた
めのトランスフアミックス−混合部として知られている
混合部が開発された(ドイツ連邦共和国特許公報第11
42 839号参照)。この混合部分の本質的な特徴
は、押出スクリューも押出機シリンダも一定の長さで溝
とウエッブを備えており、この場合シリンダの長手方向
でスクリューのみぞ深さが同じ寸法で零まで逓減され、
引続き再び増大されており、またシリンダのみぞ深さも
増大され、再び逓減されていることである。押出機のス
クリューおよび押出機のシリンダのこのような構成によ
り混合部が回転した際押出材料のスクリューみぞからバ
レルみぞへの完全な移送が可能となり、押出材料に良好
な混合作用が与えられる。
【0005】トランスフアミックス押出機はピン付シリ
ンダ形押出機に比し、特に押出機の構造長さを短くした
点では自体或る程度マーケットシェアを高めた。しかし
この混合部の構造にあって不利な点は比較的高い製造費
を要することである。
【0006】
【発明が解決しようとする課題】押出機の混合部の技術
は−細かい改良は別として−ここ15年から20年変わ
っておらず、従って本発明の根底をなす課題は公知の押
出機を基礎として混練と均質化を充分に達し得る押出機
を造ることである。

【課題を解決するための手段】上記の課題は本発明によ
り、両公知の混合部(ベーシス)の構成を組合わせるこ
とにより、即ち押出機が相前後して混合領域と均質化領
域とを備えており、混合領域がピン付シリンダ領域とし
て、均質化領域がトランスフアミックス領域として形成
されていることにより解決される。
【0008】ピン付きシリンダ領域とトランスファーミ
ックス領域とを備えた実験押出機により、押出機の出力
が50%に低減されるが、しかもこの場合混合品質とス
クリュー回転数は変わることがない、かつ移送量が60
%〜100%増大することが確かめられた。
【0009】更にこれらの優れた結果は駆動部の回転モ
ーメントの50%の低減を可能にし、その結果作業費が
著しく低減された。これに加えてピン付きシリンダミッ
クス部とトランスファーミックスの本発明による組合わ
せにより等しい混合品質を得るのに必要なミックス領域
の構造長さがピン付きシリンダの原理でのみ作業が行わ
れる押出機に比して約50%も低減した。
【0010】以下に添付した図面に図示した実施例につ
き本発明を詳細に説明する。
【0011】
【実施例】押出機シリンダ2内にはスクリュー6が設け
られており、このスクリューはその縦軸線を中心にして
駆動ユニット5により回転駆動される。シリンダ2はそ
の流れ下流側の端部の領域において押出される物質のた
めのホッパー3を備えている。物質は混合されて流出口
4を経て押出機を去る。
【0012】スクリュー6は供給領域9において、公知
の様式でホッパ3を経て供給される物質を押出機内に引
込みかつ可塑化するのに適した幾何学的なスクリュー形
状を有している。
【0013】この供給領域9の下流側にピン付きシリン
ダ領域7が設けられており、この領域内で二列のピン1
1が半径方向でシリンダ2を通ってスクリュー軸線方向
で押出機の加工空域14内に突出している。このピン付
きシリンダ領域7内においてスクリューウエッブ12は
公知の様式でピン面内において中断されており、従って
スクリューとピン11との衝突は回避される。
【0014】ピン付きシリンダ領域7の下流側でトラン
スファーミックス領域8が設けられており、このトラン
スファーミックス領域内においてこの実施例にあっては
スクリュー6のウエッブ12とシリンダ2のウエッブ1
3との間の角度は105°より大きいか或いは105°
であり、互いに補完し合って90°をなす角度を形成し
ていない。
【0015】スクリュー6の最後の部分は圧縮領域10
によって形成されており、この圧縮領域内にあってスク
リューの幾何学的な形状は、公知の方法でスクリューの
圧力が必要な機械圧力に増大するように、選択されてい
る。
【0016】この実施例以外にこの高効率な押出機のた
めの他の構成も可能である。即ち、上記の構成がより良
好な混合結果と均質化結果をもたらしはするが、例えば
トランスファーミックス領域8をピン付きシリンダ領域
7の上流側にも設けることも可能である。更に、ピン付
きシリンダ領域を二つ以上のピンを設けて混合および均
質化の効果を同様に達成することも可能である。経費と
達成される混合品質とを勘案した場合ピン付きシリンダ
は1〜5列のピンを設けるのが最も好都合である。
【0017】個々の押出機領域の適切な長さは10の押
出機長さにあっては、スクリュー直径(D)は供給領域
にあっては約3Dであり、ピン付きシリンダ領域にあっ
ては1,5〜2Dであり、トランスファーミックス領域
にあっては2〜2,5Dであり、そして圧縮領域にあっ
ては約3Dである。
【0018】上記の構成に左右されることなく、必要に
応じて付加的に処理領域、例えば脱気領域或いは混練領
域をピン付きシリンダ領域およびトランスファーミック
ス領域の前方或いは後方或いはそれらの間に設けること
が可能である。

【発明の効果】上記のように、ピン付シリンダ領域とト
ランスファーミックス領域とを組合わせることにより公
知の押出機に比して駆動ユニットの出力の低減が達せら
れると共に、他方では材料の良好な混合と均質化が達せ
られる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 装填口(3)と流出口(4)、シリンダ
    (2)内でその縦軸線を中心にして回転可能に設けられ
    ているスクリュー(6)のための駆動ユニット(5)と
    を備えたシリンダ(2)から成る、ゴムおよび熱可塑性
    合成物質を加工および製造するための押出機において、
    押出機(1)が相前後して混合領域(7)と均質化領域
    (8)とを備えており、混合領域(7)がピン付シリン
    ダ領域として、均質化領域(8)がトランスフアミック
    ス領域として形成されていることを特徴とする押出機。
  2. 【請求項2】 ピン付シリンダ領域が上流側でトランス
    フアミックス領域(8)の手前に設けられていることを
    特徴とする請求項1の押出機。
  3. 【請求項3】 押出機が混合領域(7)と均質化領域
    (8)の上流側で供給領域(9)を、下流側で押出物が
    必要な処理圧力で押出される領域(10)を備えている
    ことを特徴とする請求項1の押出機。
  4. 【請求項4】 特に押出機の長さが10である場合供給
    領域(9)のスクリュー直径が(D)が3D、ピン付シ
    リンダ領域(7)が1,5〜2D、トランスフアミック
    ス領域(8)が2〜2,5Dおよび圧縮領域(10)が
    約3Dの長さであることを特徴とする請求項3の押出
    機。
  5. 【請求項5】 ピン付シリンダ領域(7)内に1〜5
    本、特に一列〜5列のピン(11)が設けられており、
    これらのピンがバレル(2)の加工空域内に半径方向で
    突出しており、かつこの位置でスクリューウエッブ(1
    2)が中断されていることを特徴とする請求項1から4
    までのいずれか一つの押出機。
  6. 【請求項6】 スクリュー(6)のウエッブ(12)と
    シリンダ(2)のウエッブ(13)との間の角度が10
    5°より大きいか或いは105°であり、かつ90°の
    補完角度を形成していないように押出機のトランスフア
    ミックス領域(8)が形成されていることを特徴とする
    請求項1から4までのいずれか一つの押出機。
