However, when the door is actually closed, the part of the hollow seal portion 23 that first contacts the contact surface 5 may adhere to the contact surface 5 due to friction and may not slip. . In that case, the hollow seal portion 23 is not tilted to the opposite side of the vehicle body, but is pushed down as the door is closed and is bent in two as shown by the solid line in FIG. When this bending is repeated, the hollow seal portion 2
The bent portion of 3 is easily set. In particular, when the gap 7 between the door sash 1 and the corner portion 6 of the edge of the contact surface 5 is narrow (particularly when the gap is less than twice the wall thickness of the hollow seal portion 23),
The bent portions of the hollow seal portion 23 are the door sash 1 and the corner portion 6.
As it is caught between and, it causes breakage.

Here, the thickness of the "thick portion" is appropriately 1.2 to 2.2 times the thickness of the other portion of the hollow seal portion, and is 1.5.
˜2.0 times is more preferable, and 1.7 to 1.9 times is optimal. If it is less than 1.2 times, the rigidity of the thick portion is too small to reduce the bending prevention effect, and if it exceeds 2.2 times, the rigidity of the thick portion is too large and the sealing property is deteriorated. Is. For example, the wall thickness of other parts of the hollow seal is 1.5 mm
If so, the thickness of the thick portion is appropriately 1.8 to 3.3 mm, more preferably 2.25 to 3.0 mm, and 2.55.
The optimum value is 2.85 mm.

The "notch" can be formed either inside or outside the hollow seal portion, but it is desirable to form the notch on the inside which cannot be seen from the outside in consideration of design.
The depth of the "notch" is suitably 0.16 to 0.50 times the wall thickness of the hollow seal portion forming the notch, and 0.23 to 0.
44 times is more preferable, and 0.30 to 0.37 times is optimum. This is because if it is less than 0.16 times, the effect of the notch is reduced, and if it exceeds 0.50 times, the strength of the hollow seal portion is weakened. For example, if the hollow seal portion forming the notch has a wall thickness of 1.5 mm, it is 0.25 to 0.75.

According to the door weather strip of the present invention, when the door is closed, the thick-walled portion of the hollow seal portion facing the contact surface enhances the rigidity of the hollow seal portion. To prevent bending. Therefore, the hollow seal portion slides toward the relief surface side of the contact surface and tilts toward the opposite side of the vehicle body. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the hollow seal portion from being bent due to bending. Further, even if the gap between the door sash and the vehicle body is narrow, the hollow seal portion is not caught in the gap, so that the hollow seal portion can be prevented from breaking.

Moreover, since the notch is formed in the hollow seal portion on the side opposite to the contact surface from the portion closest to the escape surface, the portion on the side opposite the contact surface of the hollow seal portion is notched when the door is closed. The part bends outward and the height decreases. Therefore, there is no possibility that the top of the hollow seal portion will be strongly pressed against the relief surface, and the door opening / closing force can be prevented from becoming excessive. In addition, the seal width between the hollow seal portion and the contact surface increases due to the reaction caused by the outward bending of the portion of the hollow seal portion on the opposite contact surface side.

A thick portion 15 is provided at a portion of the hollow seal portion 13 facing the contact surface 5. In this embodiment, the wall thickness of the thick wall portion 15 is set to 2.7 mm, and the wall thickness of other portions of the hollow seal portion 13 is set to 1.5 mm. Further, a notch 16 is formed in a portion of the hollow seal portion 13 on the side opposite to the contact surface with respect to the portion closest to the relief surface 4 (a range shown by an arrow in FIG. 2 is preferable). In this embodiment,
The notch 16 is formed on the inner surface of the hollow seal portion 13 with a depth of about 0.5 mm.

FIG. 1 shows the state of the door weather strip 11 from the time the door is opened to the time immediately before it is closed. The hollow seal portion 13 is slightly inclined toward the vehicle body 2. Also in the door weather strip 11 of this embodiment, when the door is closed, the portion of the hollow seal portion 13 that first comes into contact with the contact surface 5 tends to adhere to the contact surface 5 due to friction, and the door is closed. There is a case where a pressing force is applied to the hollow seal portion 13 with the progress of.

However, even in such a case, according to the door weather strip 11 of this embodiment, the hollow seal portion 13 is formed.
Of the thick portion 15 provided at a portion of the portion facing the contact surface 5
However, the rigidity of the same portion is increased and the foot is struck against the pushing-down force to prevent the hollow seal portion 13 from bending. For this reason,
As shown in FIG. 3, the hollow seal portion 13 does not adhere to the contact surface 5, but slides toward the escape surface 4 side of the contact surface 5 and leans toward the opposite side of the vehicle body. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the hollow seal portion 13 from being bent due to bending. Further, even if the gap 7 between the door sash 1 and the corner portion 6 is narrow, the hollow seal portion 13 will not be caught between them, so that the breakage of the hollow seal portion 13 can be prevented.

By the way, as described above, the thick wall portion 15 enhances the rigidity of the hollow seal portion 13 so that the hollow seal portion 13 slides toward the relief surface 4 side.
There is a possibility that the top of the hollow seal portion 13 is strongly pressed against the relief surface 4 and the door opening / closing force becomes excessive.

However, according to the door weather strip 11 of this embodiment, since the notch 16 is formed in the portion of the hollow seal portion 13 that is closer to the relief surface 4 and on the side opposite to the contact surface, the door weather strip 11 is formed. At the time of closing, the portion of the hollow seal portion 13 on the side opposite to the contact surface bends so as to bulge outward at the notch 16 portion, and the height decreases. Therefore, there is no possibility that the top of the hollow seal portion 13 will be strongly pressed against the relief surface 4, and the door opening / closing force can be prevented from becoming excessive. Also, the seal width between the hollow seal portion 13 and the contact surface 5 increases due to the reaction due to the portion of the hollow seal portion 13 on the opposite contact surface side being bent outward.

The reason why it is preferable to form the notch 16 in the range shown by the arrow in FIG. 2 is that if the notch is provided in the part on the contact surface side of the same range, the notch action disappears, and the part on the base side of the range. This is because, if a notch is provided in the hollow seal portion 13, the portion of the hollow seal portion 13 on the side opposite to the contact surface is bent inward at the notch portion, and the seal width between the hollow seal portion 13 and the contact surface 5 is reduced.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiment, and for example, the width of the thick wall portion can be adjusted, the notch forming portion can be changed within the above angle range, or the notch can be a hollow seal portion. It is also possible to embody the present invention by appropriately changing the shape and configuration of each part within a range not departing from the spirit of the present invention, such as being formed on the outer surface of.
