Therefore, a mechanism for contacting and separating the pressing member with respect to the magnetic sheet is required, which complicates the structure and requires a space for disposing such a mechanism in the mechanical deck, which increases the size of the mechanical deck itself and increases the cost. There was a drawback.

A magnetic head provided so as to project from the inclined surface by a required amount, a through hole that is provided between the pad and the magnetic head, and allows air to flow between the lower side of the pad and the pad inclined surface side. An opening and closing means for opening and closing to regulate the flow of air is provided, and when performing recording or reproduction, the through hole is closed by the opening and closing means,
By rotating the magnetic sheet, a negative pressure is generated between the inclined surface of the pad and the magnetic sheet to run along the surface of the pad to perform recording or reproduction by the magnetic head, and when the recording or reproduction is finished, The through hole is opened by the opening / closing means, and the negative pressure between the magnetic sheet and the inclined surface of the pad is released.

Therefore, even when the inclined surface of the pad is in a dew condensation state, non-rotation of the spindle due to sticking and damage to the magnetic sheet are prevented.

When recording or reproducing is performed by rotating along the inclined surface of the pad and surely slidingly contacting the magnetic head, and when the rotational traveling is stopped from this recording or reproducing state, the through hole is opened and the inclined surface side of the pad is placed. By releasing the negative pressure between the magnetic sheet and the pad in the ventilated state, the magnetic sheet is separated from the pad, the rotation stopping operation is smoothly performed, and the creep deformation of the magnetic sheet is prevented.

In the case of this example, as shown in FIG. 1, the magnetic head (7) has a required amount, for example, a few, from the surface (6a) of the pad (6).
It is mounted so as to protrude by 10 μm. The amount of protrusion of the magnetic head (7) varies depending on the rounded shape of the head tip.

Then, on the surface of the magnetic sheet (1), an air flow in the same direction as the sheet traveling speed is generated, and flows into the surface (6a) of the pad (6) through a gap b, but from the gap b. Since the air gap a is formed in a divergent shape at the front due to the inclination of the surface (6a), this air gap part becomes a negative pressure to the other surface side of the magnetic sheet (1). Therefore, the magnetic sheet (1) is pressed against the surface (6a) of the pad (6) by air pressure, and the surface (6a) of the pad (6) is pressed.
Thus, the magnetic head (7) protruding from the surface (6a) is slidably contacted to perform recording or reproduction.

Since a required amount (several tens of μm) is projected from a), a narrow spacing (0.1 μm or less) can be maintained between the magnetic sheet (1) and the head contact omission due to the unevenness of the surface of the magnetic head (7). Will also be prevented.

The air gap a between the pad and the surface (6a) of the pad (6) becomes a negative pressure, so that the magnetic sheet (1) is run along the surface (6a) of the pad (6) (see solid line in FIG. 4). State) Sliding contact with the magnetic head (7) for recording or reproduction. Also,
The magnetic sheet (1) when the magnetic sheet (1) is rotated while the valve (9) of the ventilation pipe (8) is open.
The divergent space a between the pad and the surface (6a) of the pad (6) is ventilated to the outside through the recess (6b) of the pad (6) and the ventilation pipe (8), and is maintained at atmospheric pressure to maintain the magnetic sheet. (1) is rotatively traveled without following the surface (6a) of the pad (6) (state indicated by the chain double-dashed line in the figure), and therefore is not in sliding contact with the magnetic head (7) and recording or reproducing is not performed.

Since it can be moved or released, by opening the valve (9) and releasing the sliding contact with the surface (6a) of the pad (6) and the magnetic head (7) when the magnetic sheet (1) starts to rotate. , The surface of the pad (6) (6
Even when a) is a dew condensation state, spind's non-rotation due to sticking and damage to the magnetic sheet (1) are prevented, and the magnetic sheet (1) is rotated and activated without receiving any load resistance. Power consumption can be reduced and
The valve (9) can be started in a short time to a predetermined rotation, and after this start
The magnetic sheet (1) is rotated along the surface (6a) of the pad (6) as described above and slidably contacts the magnetic head (7) for recording or reproduction.

る。As described above, according to the present invention, the magnetic head is attached to the pad so as to protrude by a required amount, and a negative pressure is generated between the pad and the magnetic sheet by using the flow of air when the magnetic sheet is running, so that the magnetic sheet is padded. Along with the surface of the magnetic head and slidingly contact with the magnetic head, and the through hole formed between the pad and the magnetic head is opened by the opening / closing means to release the negative pressure to separate the magnetic sheet from the surface of the pad and the magnetic head. Since it is configured as described above, extremely good contact of the magnetic sheet with the magnetic head can be obtained without adjusting the pad, and recording and reproducing are always performed reliably, and the magnetic sheet is separated from the pad when the rotation is started. Even when the surface of the is dewed, sticking is prevented to prevent the spindle from rotating and the magnetic sheet itself from being damaged. Creep deformation can be prevented with rotation stopping operation can be smoothly carried out because it can be separated in manner.

A magnetic recording / reproducing apparatus for performing recording / reproduction by sliding a magnetic sheet traveling in one direction on a magnetic head for recording / reproducing, wherein one end is arranged in proximity to the magnetic sheet and the other end is formed by the magnetic recording medium. A pad having an inclined surface that is gradually inclined away from the surface of the magnetic sheet along the running direction of the sheet, and an inclined surface of the pad that is provided substantially in the center of the pad and that performs recording and reproduction on the magnetic sheet. A magnetic head provided so as to project from the pad by a required amount from the through hole, which is provided between the pad and the magnetic head, and through which air flows between the lower side of the pad and the pad inclined surface side. An opening / closing means for opening / closing the through hole to restrict the flow of air is provided. When recording or reproducing, the through hole is closed by the opening / closing means and the magnetic sheet is rotatively run to move the path. A negative pressure is generated between the magnetic sheet and the inclined surface of the pad to cause the magnetic sheet to run along the surface of the pad to perform recording or reproduction by the magnetic head, and when the recording or reproduction is finished, the through hole is formed. Is opened by the opening / closing means to release the negative pressure between the magnetic sheet and the inclined surface of the pad.
