2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, a transfer sheet has been used as one of the means for decorating the surface of a cylindrical object used as a container for writing instruments, lipsticks and the like. The transfer sheet has a release layer, a pattern layer, an adhesive layer, etc. formed on a base sheet such as a plastic film. The transfer sheet is superposed on the surface of the cylinder, and the adhesive layer is brought into close contact with the surface of the cylinder by heating and pressurizing, and then when the base sheet is peeled off, it peels between the base sheet and the peeling layer, The peeling layer / pattern layer / adhesive layer can be transferred for decoration. Unlike printing or painting, the decoration with the transfer sheet has advantages that it does not require a drying step and does not contaminate the working environment because it does not use a solvent.

There have been the following methods for forming decorations such as characters and ground patterns on the surface of a cylindrical object by using a transfer sheet. 1. A method in which a ground pattern and characters are formed as a pattern layer on a single transfer sheet and then transferred to a tubular material. 2.First, using a transfer sheet with only the ground pattern formed,
A method of transferring a ground pattern onto a tubular material, and then using a transfer sheet on which only the characters are formed, transferring the characters onto the previously formed ground pattern.

However, the above-mentioned transfer method has the following drawbacks. The first method has a drawback that the production of the transfer sheet is complicated. In particular, if you want to express gold or silver characters, in addition to the printing method to form the pattern layer, a metal such as aluminum is evaporated and the process of patterning it into a character shape by etching etc. There are many work processes, and not only are the processes complicated, but it is difficult to express beautiful and clear characters.

In the second method, the transfer sheet is not complicated, but the transfer sheet is transferred twice to one cylindrical member, which has the drawback of requiring many steps.

According to the transfer method of the present invention, the background pattern of the transfer sheet for a tubular product is formed by continuously forming the background pattern part having the peripheral length of the tubular product and the decorative part having the peripheral length of the tubular product. The part is overlaid on the surface of the cylindrical object, and while heating and pressurizing the cylindrical object, the background pattern part of the transfer sheet is transferred to the surface of the cylindrical object, and then the decorative part of the transfer sheet is cylindrical first. It was configured to be transferred so as to be superimposed on the ground pattern portion transferred to the object.

The pattern layer 3 is formed by continuously forming a ground pattern portion 6 having a peripheral length of the cylindrical object which is the transferred body 5 and a decorative portion 7 having a peripheral length of the cylindrical object. (See Figure 1). The pattern layer 3 is formed by an ordinary printing method or the like using an ordinary pigment or dye and a coloring ink composed of a binder, an additive and the like. It is advisable to use a coloring ink having excellent adhesion to the release layer 2 and excellent weather resistance. The pattern layer 3 may be a single layer or a multi-layered structure having multiple colors. Further, the pattern layer 3 may be a metal thin film layer of aluminum, nickel or the like formed by a vacuum deposition method, a sputtering method, an ion plating method or the like.

The adhesive layer 4 is for adhering each of the above layers to the transferred body 5. The adhesive layer 4 may be provided on the entire surface.
Further, the pattern layer 3 may be partially formed in alignment with the ground pattern or characters. As the adhesive layer 4, the transferred material 5 is used.
A heat-sensitive or pressure-sensitive resin suitable for a surface material such as a plastic molded product is appropriately used. For example, when the transferred material 5 is polystyrene, an acrylic resin or vinyl chloride vinyl acetate resin may be used, and when the transferred material 5 is polypropylene, a chlorinated polypropylene resin or ethylene vinyl acetate resin may be used.

Operation: The background of the transfer sheet for a tubular product, in which the ground pattern portion 6 having the perimeter of the tubular object, which is the transferred material 5, and the decorative portion 7 having the perimeter of the tubular object are continuously formed. The pattern portion 6 is superposed on the surface of the tubular material, and the background material portion 6 of the transfer sheet is transferred onto the surface of the tubular material by heating and pressing while rotating the tubular material. Then, the decorative portion 7 of the transfer sheet is transferred onto the background pattern portion 6 previously transferred to the tubular material so as to be overlaid. That is, the transfer is performed so that the transferred body 5 rotates twice, so that the decoration such as characters and the ground pattern are formed.
