【目的】 従来のフィルタは、ニコチン、タール等有害
物質の除去能力が満足できるものではなかった。そこで
本考案は、ニコチン、タール等有害物質の除去能力が従
来のものに比べ格段に高いパイプ用フィルタの提供を目

Description
【０００１】
本考案は、喫煙具のパイプ用フィルタに関する。
【０００２】
従来、実開昭６１−１００９９８号公報などによって、アスコルビン酸などを 含有させたパイプ用フィルタが公知となっている。

上記のような従来のフィルタは、ニコチン、タール等有害物質の除去能力が満 足できるものではなかった。そこで本考案は、ニコチン、タール等有害物質の除 去能力が従来のものに比べ格段に高いパイプ用フィルタの提供を目的とする。

上記目的を達成するために、本考案のパイプ用フィルタは、キチン又はその誘 導体を含有したことを特徴とするものである。

キチン又はその誘導体を含有させると、ニコチン、タール等有害物質を従来の ものより１．５〜２倍も多く除去することができる。

以下、図面に基づき実施例について説明する。図１がフィルタ１を示したもの で、図２がフィルタ１をパイプ４に装着した状態を示したものである。フィルタ １はアセテート等の繊維の束２の外周面をポリプロピレン等の薄いプラスチック 製フィルム３で覆った構造を有し、その繊維の束２に、キチン又はその誘導体を 溶剤に溶かしたものを含浸させ又は付加している。尚、キチン（ｃｈｉｔｉｎ） は蟹などの甲殻類や節足動物の外皮等を形成する含窒素多糖類のことである。

本考案は上記の通りであり、キチン又はその誘導体を含有することによって、 ニコチン、タール等の有害物質の除去能力が格段に高まるので、喫煙者の健康に 極めて良い結果をもたらすものである。
