【目的】 従来の喫煙用パイプは、ニコチン、タール等
有害物質の除去能力が満足できるものではなかった。そ
こで本考案は、ニコチン、タール等有害物質の除去能力
が従来のものに比べ格段に高い喫煙用パイプの提供を目
的とする。 【構成】 キチン又はその誘導体を含有したフィルタを
内蔵したことを特徴とする。

Description
【０００１】
本考案は、喫煙用のパイプに関する。
【０００２】
従来、実開昭６１−１００９９８号公報などに見られるようなアスコルビン酸 などを含有したフィルタを内蔵した喫煙用パイプなどが知られている。
【０００３】
上記のような従来の喫煙用パイプは、ニコチン、タール等有害物質の除去能力 が満足できるものではなかった。そこで本考案は、ニコチン、タール等有害物質 の除去能力が従来のものに比べ格段に高い喫煙用パイプの提供を目的とする。
【０００４】
上記目的を達成するために、本考案の喫煙用パイプは、キチン又はその誘導体 を含有したフィルタを内蔵したことを特徴とするものである。

キチン又はその誘導体を含有したフィルタを内蔵することによって、ニコチン や、タール等の有害物質を従来のものより１．５〜２倍も多く除去することがで きる。

以下、図面に基づき実施例について説明する。この実施例のパイプ１は、フィ ルタ２、中間体３、先口部材４、及び吸口部材５から成り、フィルタ２は中間体 ３の内部に装填され、中間体３の前方に先口部材４が、又、中間体３の後方に吸 口部材５がそれぞれ連結されることにより構成されるものである。そして、先口 部材４は通煙孔６を穿設した仕切壁７を有して、その仕掛壁７より前方の筒部に 巻煙草８を差し込むようになし、又、仕切壁７の後面中心部にフィルタ２の前面 中心部を支持する突杆９を設けている。また、吸口部材５は、その内部にその前 端面がフィルタ２の後面の周縁部を支持する内筒１０を設けている。そして、フ ィルタ２は、アセテート等の繊維を束ねた中芯１１の外周面をポリプロピレン等 の薄いプラスチック製のフィルム１２で覆った構造を有して、その中芯１１に、 キチン又はその誘導体を溶剤に溶かしたものを含浸させ又は付加している。尚、 キチン（ｃｈｉｔｉｎ）とは、蟹などの甲殻類や節足動物などの外皮などを形成 する含窒素多糖類のことである。

本考案は上記の通りであり、キチン又はその誘導体を含有したフィルタを内蔵 することによってニコチン、タール等有害物質を従来のものよりも格段に多く除 去することができるという効果があって、喫煙者の健康に極めて良い結果をもた らすものである。尚、上記実施例のような構造のパイプにすれば、フィルタの前 面では中心部のみが先口部材の突杆により閉塞され、フィルタの後面では周縁部 のみが吸口部材の内筒によって閉塞されるだけなので、煙はフィルタの一部に偏 ることなく全体を満遍なく通過することになって、フィルタに含まれるキチン又 はその誘導体と煙との接触度が極めて高くなり、これによって有害物質の除去率 が高まり上記の効果が一層顕著になる。
