方向ほぼ全域に亘って長く形成され、刈芝等の比較的大
きい塵埃でも通過可能に広幅に形成してある。そして、
外気取入口13のケース内方側には該口の上下両縁に沿
って前方下方側に向かう斜め姿勢で風の流動方向を斜め
下方側に整流させるための整流用板体15〔整流部の一
例〕を連設してある。従って、吸入されたエンジン冷却
風は、この外気取入口13を介して前方下方側斜め方向
に向かって流動した後、エンジン上部側に向けて吸引さ
れることになる。その結果、刈芝等の比較的大きな塵埃
は前方下方側斜め方向に向かって流動する際、自重によ
って下方側に落下して、エンジン吸気部における防塵網
16にまで達するおそれが少なくなるよう構成してあ
る。尚、各板体15の間には適宜箇所に補強リブ17を
設けてある。又、左右両横側部位11bに形成される外
気取入口14は、図6、図7に示すように、運転部ケー
ス11の当該横側部位11bは下方側ほど横側外方に位
置する斜め姿勢に形成されているのに対して、前記円弧
状部位11aに設けられる外気取入口13と同一方向の
前方下方側に向かう複数のスリットSを上下に重ねて形
成するとともに、スリットSの内奥面18を前方側ほぼ
機体内方側に離間する方向、即ち、機体前後方向に沿う
姿勢に形成し、各スリット間を板体19で仕切ってあ
り、吸入された外気が前方下方側斜め方向に流動するよ
