(Prior Art) Pressure-sensitive copying paper is an electron-donating color former such as crystal violet lactone or benzoyl leuco methylene blue, and an electron-accepting color developer such as activated clay, bentonite, phenol resin, or polyvalent metal salt of aromatic carboxylic acid. It applies the principle of color development by the reaction of the colorant, and it coats the backside of the support with microcapsules containing colorant made by phase separation method, interfacial polymerization method, in-situ method, etc. A colored image can be obtained on the lower paper by applying pressure-sensitive printing on the surface of the upper paper with a writing instrument, typewriter, etc. with the lower paper formed by coating the surface of the support with the lower paper. If more copies are desired, the number of sheets of middle paper with the above-mentioned color developer applied to the front surface of the support and microcapsules on the back surface are provided between the upper and lower papers as needed. It is possible to obtain a large number of copies by inserting. Further, one type of pressure-sensitive copying paper is a so-called single pressure-sensitive recording sheet in which the above-mentioned microcapsules and a color developer are formed as a laminated or mixed layer.

In addition, the heat-sensitive recording sheet basically forms a heat-sensitive recording layer containing the same color former and developer as used in the pressure-sensitive recording paper, and both substances are contact-reacted by Joule heat from the thermal head. To obtain a color former.

By the way, the quality design of individual pressure-sensitive recording sheets and heat-sensitive recording sheets has so far been designed with emphasis on copyability and recording suitability. Therefore, the surface not coated with the coloring reaction agent, that is, the single pressure-sensitive recording sheet. Under the present circumstances, no particular consideration has been given to the fact that the non-recording surface of the sheet and the thermal recording sheet is not printed at all, or that ruled lines and characters are printed at most.
Therefore, these surfaces are the surfaces of the support as they are.

However, recent needs for forms are oriented toward visually appealing "colorful design forms" and there are many requests for design form printing such as corporate PR and corporate CM on the front or back of the form, and the printing effect is similar to commercial printing. We are in an era where effects are required.

However, the non-copying surface or the non-recording surface of the current single pressure-sensitive recording sheet or heat-sensitive recording sheet has a drawback that it is not suitable for high-grade printing because the surface of the support is exposed as described above.

(Operation) The recording sheet (1) using the color-forming reaction between the color-developing agent and the color-developing agent in the above-mentioned configuration has a form in which oil-containing microcapsules having the color-developing agent dissolved on the surface are laminated or mixed with the color-developing layer. A single pressure-sensitive recording sheet having a pigment coating layer formed on the back surface of the sheet, a heat-sensitive recording sheet containing a color former and a developer on the front surface, and the back surface of the recording sheet. It also includes a pigment coating layer formed on.

Thus, the present invention is directed to a recording sheet (1) utilizing a color-developing reaction between a color-developing agent and a color-developing agent, particularly a single pressure-sensitive recording sheet and a thermosensitive recording sheet, in which a pigment is not applied to the surface on which the color-developing agent is applied. And a coating material containing an adhesive as a main component so as to have a dry weight of 3 to 20 g / m 2 to form a pigment coating layer. In the case of forming the pigment coating layer, As pigments, kaolin, calcium carbonate, chisan white, titanium dioxide, pyrophyllite clay,
Calcium sulfite, calcium sulfate, aluminum hydroxide, zinc oxide, talc, zeolite, barium sulfate, amorphous silica, plastic pigments, etc. One or more of the well-known pigments used when forming coated paper for printing. Can be used together. As the adhesive, styrene-butadiene-based, acrylic-based, vinyl acetate-based copolymer latex and various modified starches, cold water-soluble starch, casein, soybean protein and other commonly known adhesives may be used alone or in combination. it can. The amount of the adhesive used with respect to the pigment is preferably limited to the range of 3 to 20% by weight. Further, if necessary, various auxiliary agents such as a dispersant, a thickener, a water retention agent, a defoaming agent, a water resistance agent, a lubricant, a dye, and a pH adjusting agent can be appropriately added to the coating layer.

Thus, when forming a pigment coating layer, the coating liquid is an air knife coater, a roll coater, a blade coater,
The coating is carried out by an ordinary coater such as a bar coater, but the coating amount is adjusted within the range of 3 to 20 g / m 2 in dry weight. By the way, if it is 3 g / m 2 or less, sufficient printability cannot be imparted, and if it is 20 g / m 2 or more, it is not necessary in terms of printability and it is also negative in cost.
