2. Description of the Related Art A vapor deposition electrode of a metallized film is subdivided into a plurality of parts, and a fuse function is given by narrowing a part of a current path leading from the terminal to the electrode to cause a partial dielectric breakdown in a capacitor. In the event of an accident, the technology relating to the safety function of the capacitor, in which the divided electrode having the accident is cut off by fusing the fuse part and the remaining electrode continues to maintain the function of the capacitor, starts from Japanese Patent No. 132759, There are a large number such as Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 52-4049, and European Patent Office published patent application 0 017 556 A1 (France).

In each of the above techniques, the electrode of the metallized film is divided (divided) into a plurality of portions by the insulating groove as shown in FIG. 1 or 6, and a part of the current path of each divided electrode is narrowed. Then, the fuse function is obtained, and the fault current (overcurrent) generated inside the dielectric under a certain segment electrode is quickly interrupted, and the segment electrode at the fault location is disconnected from the power supply, resulting in a short circuit, smoking, or ignition due to a fault. The purpose is to improve the safety function of the wound type MF capacitor by preventing the damage such as explosion from spreading to the entire capacitor.

Among the above-mentioned several prior arts, the invention closest to the present invention is the invention described in Japanese Examined Patent Publication No. 1-21613 which specifies the magnitude of the fuse current. This includes, in addition to the embodiment in which a narrow fuse portion is provided in the vapor deposition film as described above, an embodiment in which the vapor deposition film itself is thinned to increase the film resistance value, and innumerable flaws are formed in the vapor deposition film instead of the narrow portion. Examples are shown in which a crack zone provided with the above is provided and an example in which the contact between the vapor-deposited film and the metallikon electrode is incomplete by coating with silicone oil.

Among these, in the embodiment of the wound type MF capacitor in which the narrowed fuse portion is provided in the vapor deposition film as in the other prior art described above, the fuse current is as large as 140 to 300 mA, so that a certain segment electrode Even if a through discharge accident occurs, it will not be melted immediately, but heat generation at the accident location will cause dielectric breakdown over several layers.

In addition, in the embodiment in which the vapor deposition film is thinned to increase the resistance value, the electrode area is greatly reduced due to the electrolytic corrosion of the divided electrodes, and there is a problem in terms of durability. In addition, in the example in which the crack band is provided in the vapor deposition film, the fuse current is similarly larger, and the fuse current values of the respective segment electrodes are uneven, so that the reliability of the operation is deteriorated. Further, in the example in which the contact with the metallikon electrode was made incomplete by the silicone oil, the fuse current values of the electrodes of each section were not the same as in the case of the crack zone, and the section which was not in contact with the metallikon electrode from the beginning was used. The electrodes appear, the capacitance of the capacitor is not constant, and the current resistance is significantly reduced.

Aluminum has been widely used as a vapor deposition metal in the past.
In JP-A-21613 and JP-A-5-251266, only aluminum is shown as an example, and the vapor deposition metal is unknown in the remaining prior art. However, the aluminum vapor deposition film has a larger reduction in the film area due to the electrolytic corrosion action than the zinc vapor deposition film, and the contact with the metallikon electrode is worse than that of the zinc vapor deposition film. As in the invention described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-21613, when each of the divided electrodes is separated up to the contact portion with the metallikon electrode, the contact between some of the divided electrodes and the metallikon electrode is often cut off. As a result, the capacitance of the capacitor is reduced, which causes the deterioration of current resistance and durability. Therefore, the current resistance of the conventional wound-type MF capacitor having this type of aluminum vapor deposition film with a fuse portion was as low as 20 A / m or less according to the tests by the inventors.

[Function] When aluminum is used as the vapor deposition metal,
The electrode causes an electrolytic corrosion effect from the surroundings during use to reduce the effective area, resulting in a decrease in capacity. Furthermore, if the electrodes are divided to provide a security function, the electrolytic corrosion of the electrodes becomes larger. According to the present invention, since zinc, which is less likely to be corroded during use than aluminum, is used as a vapor deposition metal, it is possible to reduce the capacity decrease due to the reduction of the electrode area and improve the durability of the capacitor.

Further, since the aluminum vapor deposition electrode has a poor compatibility with a metallikon metal such as zinc due to the formation of an oxide film on the surface, the contact between the two is likely to be incomplete. In particular, when the vapor deposition electrode is divided up to the contact portion with the metallikon electrode, as shown in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-216613 and Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 5-4450, a certain division is often used. In some cases, the electrode is initially shielded from the metallikon electrode.

In the case of such a divisional electrode formed by aluminum vapor deposition, the connection with the metallikon electrode is broken due to a large current when the power switch is turned on or during charging / discharging, or the connection is broken due to an electrolytic corrosion effect due to long-term use. It is often dripped, which greatly affects the withstand current and the durability.

Further, in the present invention, since the metal evaporated is zinc, the contact between the evaporated film and the metallikon electrode is good, and the electrolytic corrosion phenomenon of the evaporated film at the contact portion is extremely small. In addition to this, since each segmented electrode is connected to the metallikon electrode by a continuous strip-shaped conduction path, even if the vapor deposition film and the metallikon electrode are not in good contact at a certain segment electrode position, It is possible to prevent the partition electrode from losing its capacitor function.

Further, when a large current flows between each sectioned electrode and the metallikon electrode, this current is dispersed by the strip-shaped conducting path and flows through the contact portion with the metallikon electrode. Even if the contact between the vapor-deposited film and the metallikon electrode is not good at the position, it is possible to prevent the contact portion from being cut by a large current.

The value of the fuse current that melts the fuse portion is such that when the metal vapor deposition film is unfolded, when the capacitor is made by winding, and when the capacitor is in use, heat is generated and electrical stress is applied. It is expected that they will differ from time to time, but since there is no official standard for measuring this, the method for measuring "fuse current of divided electrodes" described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-216613 was adopted.

Example 3 In the capacitor shown in FIG. 1 (a) or FIG. 1 (b), from the viewpoint of the self-recovery function, it is better that the electrode film thickness is thinner, and in terms of durability and current resistance. In view of the above, in order to ensure contact with the metallikon electrode 2, the vapor deposition film thickness of the electrode is preferably large. Therefore, in the embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the film thickness of the electrode deposited on the same film 10 is thin in the divided capacitor electrode 13, thick in the contact portion 14 with the metallikon electrode 2, and the above in the fuse portion 15. The thickness is selected between the two parts. As an example, the membrane resistance of the partition electrode 13 is 6 to 16 Ω / □, the membrane resistance of the fuse portion 15 is 4 to 8 Ω / □, and the metallikon contact portion 14 is

[Test 1] In order to compare the superiority and inferiority of the aluminum vapor deposition electrode and the zinc vapor deposition electrode, a polypropylene film having a thickness of 4.5 μm and a width of 50 mm was used as the films 10 and 20, and aluminum was vapor deposited at different thicknesses from each other. Regarding the manufactured capacitors (Sample Nos. 1, 2, 3) and capacitors manufactured by vapor-depositing zinc on the same polypropylene film with different thicknesses (Sample Nos. 4, 5, 6), the above durability test and current resistance Table 1 shows the results of the tests and safety tests. In addition, 10 sample capacitors were used for each test item for each sample of each number.

From the test results shown in Table 1, in the case of a capacitor having an aluminum vapor-deposited electrode, Sample 1 having a low vapor-deposition film resistance has no problem in terms of durability and current resistance, but its safety is insufficient. However, in Samples 2 and 3 having a relatively large vapor deposition film resistance, the capacity decrease in the durability test was large, and the current resistance was also extremely low. Therefore, it has been found that it is extremely difficult to achieve both durability and current resistance and safety in order to realize a capacitor suitable for a phase advancing capacitor in a power circuit using an aluminum vapor deposition electrode.

On the other hand, in the case of the zinc vapor-deposited electrode capacitor, all of Samples 4, 5, and 6 showed excellent durability and current resistance, but Sample 4 having a low vapor deposition film resistance had a fuse current of 180 mA. Therefore, the problem remains in terms of security, which is the original purpose of this type of divided electrode type MF capacitor.

In the winding type MF capacitor used for advancing the phase of the power circuit by combining these, zinc is suitable as the vapor deposition metal, and the resistance of the vapor deposition film constituting the fuse portion is suitably 4Ω / □ or more. I understood. It should be noted that a capacitor with excellent characteristics can be obtained even when the resistance of the zinc vapor deposition film exceeds 16 Ω / □, but since the vapor deposition film is largely consumed by the influence of moisture in the atmosphere during the manufacturing process, it is practically used. It is a disadvantage.

As is clear from the test results shown in Table 2,
The sample 8 in which the vapor deposition film thickness of the strip-shaped current-carrying path 14 was made thicker as shown in FIG. 5 was superior in current resistance to the sample 7 in which the vapor deposition film thickness was uniform. Further, even when the vapor deposition film thickness of each part was changed as shown in FIG. 5, the sample 8 in which the metallikon electrode contact part was continuous in a strip shape as shown in FIG. 1 was divided as shown in FIG. The sample 9 was significantly superior to Sample 9 in terms of durability and current resistance. The value of -1.84% of the durability test result of Sample 9 is considered to be acceptable, but
This is a value that becomes a problem when used for a long period of time, and the value of 40 A / m of the current resistance test result is considered to be acceptable, but it is a remarkably low value as compared with Samples 7 and 8.

In the tests described above, when the samples having particularly poor durability and current resistance were disassembled and inspected, it was found that the cause was all due to the disconnection of the fuse portion. In addition, it was found that the samples with poor security did not blow when the electrodes were short-circuited because the fuse current in the fuse part was too large.
