Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce unevenness in displaying by forming a colored layer even in the sheet part of a liquid crystal panel, making uniform the sizes of spherical spacers in the display part and ones in the seal part, and maintaining accurately the spacing between a matrix electrode substrate board and a color filter substrate board. CONSTITUTION: On a color filter substrate board of a liquid crystal panel, a colored layer 7 is formed besides the display part excluding a transfer pad part, and the shape of the board surface is made uniform. Then a silane series bond strengthening agent is applied so as to enhance the tight attachment of a sealing material 5 with color filter substrate board 2. Spacers 3 included in the sealing material 5 are formed spherical in the same shape as those in the display part. When the color filter substrate board 2 is positioned facing a matrix electrode substrate board 1 and a liquid crystal panel is assembled using the sealing material, the spacing between the surface of the color filter substrate board 2 and the matrix electrode substrate board 1 becomes uniform, and it is possible to generate unevenness in displaying resulting from difference in the cell gap thickness.

でもずれるとパネルギャップの微妙な差となり、表示で
の色の違いという問題点が発生する。また、品種毎及び
カラーフィルタ供給メーカー毎に2種類のスペーサを基
準するために、部材の管理が繁雑になる問題点があっ
た。

また分光特性は同一であるが、膜厚の異なるカラーフィ
ルタ基板を使用した場合でも、両基板間の間隔を均一に
保持することが可能であり、駆動を実施したときの微妙
な色味の差を解消できる効果がある。
