Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a low cost metal siding material which is free of strains by inserting a corrugated board into a trough of a front surface material in such a fashion that the uneven part of the corrugated board may extend in the radial. direction of the flattened parts and fixing the projected parts of the corrugated board with the flattened part with a bonding agent. CONSTITUTION: As for a front surface material 5, both sides of a metal band in the radial direction are folded on the same side along the longitudinal direction, thereby shaping up a trough-like member where side walls 2 and 2a are installed on both sides of a flattened part 1 while a male type fit-in part 3 is formed on the side wall and a male type fit-in part 4 engageable with the fit-in part 3 is formed on the side wall 2a both along the longitudinal directions. When a square-shaped and step-like corrugated board 20 formed on the metal band is inserted into the front surface material 5 and fixed with the flattened part 1 with a bonding agent, the compression strength of the front surface material 5 in the radial and thickness directions will be increased and protected from fit-in or set deformations. Since the corrugated board to be inserted in a trough of the front surface material 5 fail to be produced as an outward appearance, a certain degree of corrosion resistance us acceptable. Even defective products generated during plating or painting work will be serviceable, if they are provided with a slit, which will result in a low cost.

In the production of these metal siding materials, as shown in FIG. 6, a metal strip 9 is pulled out from an uncoiler 8 by a pinch roll 10 and both sides in the width direction are longitudinally moved by a roll forming machine 11. While bending upward along the above, by forming the female fitting portion 3 on one of the bent portions and the male fitting portion 4 on the other, a trough-shaped cross section having side walls 2 and 2a on both sides of the flat portion 1 is formed. After forming the surface material 5, the surface material 5 is heated by the preheating device 12, and the foamable resin is uniformly supplied from the resin liquid injection device 13 into the gutter. Here, the reason that the surface material 5 is heated by the preheating device 12 before the supply of the foamable resin is to shorten the foaming time of the resin and to improve the adhesion with the surface material 5.

This metal siding material was generally constructed on the wall of a new house, but since the metal siding material can be easily constructed by simply nailing it, it has recently been used for refurbishing mortar walls of used houses. Is getting more and more attention. That is, in the case of metal siding material,
Since it is only necessary to provide a furring strip on the outer side of the mortar wall without removing the mortar wall and hit it with nails, it is possible to construct in a short time and at low cost. However, in the case of renovating the wall with metal siding material, since the mortar wall already exists on the lower side,
The construction owner did not have the concept of constructing a new wall, and because it was thought of as makeup, there was a tendency to demand a cheap metal siding material. However, in the case of the conventional metal siding material, it is difficult to reduce the cost because the foamed resin 6 occupies a large material cost.

As a countermeasure, it is possible to use only the surface material 5 without filling the foamed resin 6 in the core material.
Uses a metal strip having a plate thickness of about 0.3 mm, and therefore, if the core material is not filled, distortion occurs in the width direction and the longitudinal direction, and the appearance is not smooth. This tendency is particularly strong for the embossed surface material 5. In order to eliminate the distortion of the surface material 5, the thickness of the material metal strip may be increased, but this is more expensive than when the foamed resin 6 is filled.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, a metal siding material is bent toward both sides in the width direction of a metal strip in the same direction along the longitudinal direction to form a trough-shaped body having side walls on both sides of a flat portion. A siding material having a female mold formed on one of its side walls and a male mold formed on the other of the side walls to form a male mold capable of being fitted to the female mold, and a corrugated sheet in place of the foamed resin instead of the foamed resin. Was inserted into the trough of the surface material so that the unevenness of the wave extends in the width direction of the flat part, and the convex part of the corrugated plate was fixed to the flat part with an adhesive. While supplying the metal strip for the surface material and bending both widthwise sides thereof to the back side along the longitudinal direction, a female mold is formed on one of the bent portions and a male mold capable of being fitted to the female mold is formed on the other. After making a gutter with side walls on both sides of the flat part, Insert the corrugated plate into the trough so that the unevenness of the wave extends in the width direction of the trough and the adhesive applied to the convex part is on the flat side of the trough, The method is such that the flat portion of the sheet is pressure-bonded.

Further, in carrying out this method, the metal strip supply device for the surface material and the metal strip supply device for the corrugated sheet are arranged so that the metal strips from both supply devices face each other, and the former supply is performed. Behind the device, both sides in the width direction of the metal strip for surface material supplied from the supply device are bent along the longitudinal direction to the side of the metal strip for corrugated plate supplied from the supply device of the metal plate for corrugated plate while bending the bent portion. A roll forming machine for forming a gutter-like body by forming a male mold on one side and a female mold capable of fitting with the male mold on the other side is arranged, and unevenness of waves is formed behind the latter supply device. A corrugated forming machine that applies corrugation extending in the width direction of the metal strip and an adhesive coating device are arranged, and the metal strip from the adhesive coating device is placed behind the roll molding machine. This can be easily done by using a manufacturing device in which an insertion device for guiding inside the gutter and a crimping device are arranged. It was found.

In the metal siding material, the corrugated plate having wave irregularities extending in the width direction of the flat part is inserted into the trough, and the convex part of the corrugated plate is fixed to the flat part with an adhesive. The compressive strength in the thickness direction is high, and it is not deformed by fitting or striking during construction. The corrugated sheet to be inserted into the trough of the surface material does not appear in appearance, so it is sufficient if it has some degree of corrosion resistance. For this reason, defective products generated during plating or painting are slit and used. Can and is inexpensive. For corrugation, the corrugating machine used for corrugating painted steel plates may be used, but even if a dedicated corrugating machine is installed, it is not a consumable item, so the corrugating cost will increase over the long term. Will be cheaper.

It is preferable that the corrugated sheet has a width such that it comes into contact with both sides of the trough of the surface material and the height of the wave is the same as the thickness of the surface material. The shape of the wave may be any shape as long as the strength can be increased by the ribs, and for example, a round wave such as a sine curve or a square wave with step-like irregularities may be used. Further, it is preferable that the height of the wave is equal to the depth of the gutter of the surface material. The corrugated plate may be thinner than the surface material, for example, 0.15 to 0.1 when the surface material has a thickness of 0.3 mm.
It may be 2 mm. The adhesive may be a known adhesive, for example, a pressure sensitive type or a hot melt type.

The manufacturing of the surface material in the manufacturing method is the same as the conventional method, but if a corrugated sheet is used and supplied at the same speed as the surface material, it can be inserted simultaneously with the molding of the surface material.
Also, when the surface material is molded so that the gutter opens downward,
An insertion device is required to insert the band-shaped corrugated plate of the filler into the trough, but if the trough is formed so as to open upward, it can be inserted by its own weight and the insertion device is not required. Therefore, the surface material is preferably formed so that the gutter opens upward. When the surface material has a coating film or a laminate film, an adhesive that can adhere below the melting temperature is used so that the coating film is not damaged.

In the manufacturing apparatus, the arrangement of the metal strip supply device for the surface material, the roll forming machine, and the crimping device is the same as the conventional arrangement, but the supply device for the corrugated metal strip is newly arranged.
Since the corrugating machine and the adhesive coating device are arranged behind the corrugated molding machine, the corrugated sheet coated with the adhesive can be continuously supplied to the surface material. Here, the metal strip supply device for corrugated sheets is arranged so that the metal strip faces the metal strip from the metal strip supply device for surface material, and the roll forming machine corrugates the metal strip for surface material. Since it is designed to be bent to the passage side of the plate metal strip,
The extension direction of the trough of the surface material and that of the metal strip for corrugated sheet are the same, and their positional relationship is the same even after being processed into corrugated sheet. On the other hand,
In the rear of the molding machine, there is an insertion device and a crimping device that guide the metal strip from the adhesive coating device into the trough of the surface material metal strip, so the corrugated sheet is inserted into the trough of the surface material. And can be pressure bonded to the surface material. Here, if the adhesive is applied to the surface of the corrugated sheet facing the surface material with the adhesive application device, the corrugated sheet is fixed to the surface material.

In this manufacturing apparatus, the roll of the roll forming machine is assembled so that the gutter of the surface material is formed in the state of being opened upward so that the corrugated sheet is supplied from above the surface material. Is preferred. Further, when a roll coat system is used as the adhesive applying device, the adhesive can be applied only to the convex portions of the corrugated plate, so that the adhesive can be saved.

In this manufacturing apparatus, the width of the corrugated metal strip 25 attached to the second uncoiler 23 is equal to that of the first uncoiler 22.
The width is smaller than the width of the inside of the gutter of the surface material 5 processed by the roll forming machine 11 so that the surface material metal band 24 is narrower than the surface material metal band 24. Further, the height of the wave in the corrugating machine 29 is equal to or less than the depth of the gutter of the surface material 5. Furthermore, the upper conveyor of the double conveyor-17 is made narrower than the width of the gutter. Under these conditions, the roll forming machine 11 forms the metal strip 24 for surface material in a gutter shape with an upward opening, so that the corrugated strip 30 is inserted into the gutter of the surface material 5 and rolled.
It will be inserted at step 26. Since the inserted corrugated plate 30 is coated with an adhesive on the side that comes into contact with the surface material 5, the upper and lower surfaces are pressure-bonded by the double conveyor 17 and bonded to the surface material 5.

As described above, in the metal siding material of the present invention, an inexpensive corrugated sheet is inserted into the filling material of the surface material.
It is cheaper than the one using conventional foamed resin. Also,
Since the corrugated sheet to be inserted has a high vertical and horizontal compressive strength, it will not be deformed during construction. Further, when the metal siding material is manufactured, if the adhesive is applied to the convex portions of the strip-shaped corrugated plate and is inserted into the trough of the surface material, the amount of the adhesive used can be reduced. Further, since the corrugating machine and the adhesive coating device are incorporated in the manufacturing apparatus, a large area is not required for storing the corrugated strip.
