【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、固体潤滑剤、結合剤および粘稠剤を含む、
鋼を高温加工する際に用いる潤滑剤に関する。

用いる。粘稠剤の具体例としては、水溶性の多糖類、ヒ
ドロキシアルキルセルロースまたはカルボキシメチルセ
ルロースなどのアルキルセルロース、ポリビニルアルコ
ール、ポリアクリル酸その誘導体、中和または未中和の
天然ゴムまたはその誘導体(たとえばグアル)、ポリビ
ニルピロリドン、ポリエチレンオキサイド、必要であれ
ば粘土、モンモリロナイト、変性モンモリロナイト、ベ
ントナイトなどの鉱物、および天然ピッチまたは天然ア
スファルトなどの充填材がある。
前述したように、潤滑剤は水性分散液の形態で使用さ
れる。特許請求の範囲第1項による潤滑剤の水性分散液
は、80〜350℃の温度で工具に塗布できる作用をもつ。

担持液が蒸発し、均一な緻密層をもつ潤滑剤の被膜が形

つ、工具を溢れるような大量の冷却媒体を用いても、洗
い流されたり膨潤したりすることはない。

本発明による潤滑剤は、たとえば鋼塊または管などの
工作物を加工するために、芯金の挿入を行なう際、とく
に鋼の熱間加工およびいわゆるMPM工程により鋼塊を継
目無管に圧延加工する際に、また場合によっては、連続
圧延、衝撃加工装置、条鋼圧延またはハンマー鍛造にお
いて、軸、ピストン棒またはダイスなどの工具を潤滑す
るのに好適である。
工作物を加工するために、芯金の挿入を行なう際、とく
に鋼の熱間加工およびいわゆるMPM工程により鋼塊を継
目無管に圧延加工する際に、また場合によっては、連続
圧延、衝撃加工装置、条鋼圧延またはハンマー鍛造にお
いて、軸、ピストン棒またはダイスなどの工具を潤滑す
るのに好適である。
MPM工程における芯金の挿入を行なう際に、従来の潤
滑剤に要求されていた事項は、本発明によりすべて完全
に満足される。とくに80〜350℃の温度で使用し、加工
すると、厚さ10〜100mμの被膜が形成される。この被膜
は耐水性であって、後続する水冷操作によっても何ら影
響を受けない。軸温度150〜250℃では、被膜は良好な機
械的性質(たとえば、ジッケンスの割れ試験で割れ硬度
6.5N)を示す。潤滑剤の耐熱温度は、350℃まで全く問
題がない。
滑剤に要求されていた事項は、本発明によりすべて完全
に満足される。とくに80〜350℃の温度で使用し、加工
すると、厚さ10〜100mμの被膜が形成される。この被膜
は耐水性であって、後続する水冷操作によっても何ら影
響を受けない。軸温度150〜250℃では、被膜は良好な機
械的性質(たとえば、ジッケンスの割れ試験で割れ硬度
6.5N)を示す。潤滑剤の耐熱温度は、350℃まで全く問
題がない。

Claims (6)
- 【請求項1】鋼を高温で無切削加工する際に用いる,固
体潤滑剤,結合剤および粘稠剤を含む潤滑剤において、
結合剤としてカルボキシル化スチレン−ブタジエンラテ
ックスを用いることを特徴とする潤滑剤。 - 【請求項2】カルボキシル化スチレン−ブタジエンラテ
ックスのスチレン含有量が50%以上、好ましくは70〜80
%であることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項の潤滑
剤。 - 【請求項3】水性分散剤としての結合剤が、潤滑剤の他
の成分に対して固形分で40〜60重量%であることを特徴
とする特許請求の範囲第1項または第2項の潤滑剤。 - 【請求項4】潤滑剤が、固体潤滑剤とくに黒鉛を50〜80
重量%、特許請求の範囲第1項ないし第3項の結合剤を
乾燥品で20〜50重量%、そして粘稠剤を0.2〜5.0重量%
含んでいることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項ない
し第3項のいずれかの潤滑剤。 - 【請求項5】潤滑剤が水性分散剤として固形分10〜60重
量%を含有し,これを熱い工具に塗布して水性担持液を
蒸発させ、高い機械的強度をもつ均一な耐水性の潤滑剤
被膜を形成し、工具を冷却後、無切削加工を開始するよ
うしたことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第1項ないし第
4項のいずれかの潤滑剤。 - 【請求項6】鋼を高温で無切削加工する際に用いる,固
体潤滑剤,結合剤および粘稠剤を含有する潤滑剤を用い
て工具を潤滑する方法において、結合剤としてカルボキ
シル化スチレン−ブタジエンラテックスを用いることを
