各段の根上り防止蓋により一同に塞いで、発芽期におけ
る根の成長,根張りの良い健康な状態で苗を発芽させる
根上りを防いだ状態で発芽期に備えることができ、発芽
期が終了した後は根上り防止蓋を上昇させることによ
り、各段の育苗箱の開口部から根上り防止蓋を一同に撤
去せしめて、発芽した苗を田植えに適した育苗長さまで
育てる育苗期に備えることができる。しかも、育苗箱の
装置機枠内への収納時や同機枠内からの取り出す時にお
いて、各段の根上り防止蓋を機枠ないの奥へ縮小させて
置けることから、装置機枠に対する育苗箱の出し入れ作
業に根上り防止蓋が邪魔にならない。従って、本考案の
発芽・育苗装置によれば、従来装置の様に発芽期が終了
した後に、育苗箱を一旦外部に出したり、取り出した育
苗箱を育苗期に備えるためにビニールハウス等の温室に
