Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1. (a)液体サンプルを供給し; (b)サンプル移送手段を備え; (c)i)ハウジング、ii)前記ハウジング内に収められた分析領域、 iii)前記ハウジングの外部表面に設けられた液体受け入れ手段、iv)前記 分析領域と前記液体受け入れ手段との間に液体を流通させる液流案内手段、及び v)前記分析領域と流体連通した通気,液体バリアからなる装置を備え;及び (d)前記サンプルを、前記ハウジングの内部で、前記サンプル移送手段 を通して前記分析領域に移送し、これにより前記液体は正圧の下で前記液体受け 入れ手段において前記装置に導入され、前記装置内の空気は前記通気,液体バリ アを通して排気されるサンプル分析方法。 2.前記分析領域が1又は複数の分析ウェルからなる請求の範囲第1項記載の方 法。 3.さらに、ステップ(d)に先立ち、前記分析ウェルに分析試薬を前充填する 請求の範囲第2項記載の方法。 4.前記分析試薬が基礎媒体、1又はそれ以上の炭素ソース、及び指示薬からな る請求の範囲第3項記載の方法。 5.前記指示薬がレドックス指示薬である請求の範囲第4項記載の方法。 6.前記サンプルが微生物である請求の範囲第5項記載の方法。 7.前記液体受け入れ手段が前記ハウジングの外部表面に設けられた液体導入ポ ートである請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 8.前記サンプル移送手段が前記液体導入ポートにフィットする ようにつくられたピペットからなる請求の範囲第7項記載の方法。 9.前記ポートが内部溝を有し、前記ピペットが対応する凸部を有し、それによ り液密なシールが形成される請求の範囲第8項記載の方法。 10. a)ハウジング、b)前記ハウジング内に収められた分析領域、c)前 記ハウジングの外部表面に設けられた液体受け入れ手段、d)前記分析領域と前 記液体受け入れ手段との間に液体を流通させる液流案内手段、及びe)前記分析 領域との流体連通した通気液体バリアからなる装置。 11.前記バリアは、水溶液と接触したとき液体の流通を阻止するようにシール する材料からなる請求の範囲第10項記載の装置。 12.前記バリアは疎水性の材料からなる請求の範囲第10項記載の装置。 13.前記バリア材料は、ポリカーボネート、ポリプロピレン、塩化ポリバニリ デン、ニフッ化ポリバニリデン、及びポリスルフォンからなるグループから選ば れた材料である請求の範囲第10項記載の装置。 14.前記材料は膨張、焼結ポリテトラフルオロエチレンからなる請求の範囲第 12項記載の装置。 15.前記分析領域が1又はそれ以上の分析ウェルからなる請求の範囲第10項 記載の装置。 16.前記液体案内手段が、前記ハウジング内で、前記分析領域内の前記1又は それ以上の分析ウェルの各々までのチャンネルである請求の範囲第15項記載の 装置。 17.前記バリアが前記1又はそれ以上のウェルの一側面の少な くとも一部を覆うようにつくられた請求の範囲第16項記載の装置。 18.前記バリアが薄膜である請求の範囲第17項記載の装置。 19.前記バリアが前記1又はそれ以上のウェルの内側にある請求の範囲第16 項記載の装置。 20.前記バリアは配管によって前記ウェルから分離されている請求の範囲第1 6項記載の装置。 21.分析領域を有するハウジング;前記分析領域内に設置された多数の分析ウ ェル;前記ハウジングの外部表面に設けられた液体受け入れ手段;前記分析領域 と前記液体受け入れ手段との間に液体を流通させる液流案内手段;及び前記分析 ウェルと流体連通した通気,液体バリアからなる分析装置。 22.前記バリアは、水溶液と接触したとき液体の流通を阻止するようにシール する材料からなる請求の範囲第21項記載の装置。 23.前記バリアは疎水性の材料からなる請求の範囲第21項記載の装置。 24.前記液体受け入れ手段が液体導入ポートからなる請求の範囲第21項記載 の装置。 25.前記液体案内手段が、前記ハウジング内で、前記液体導入ポートから分析 領域内の分析ウェルの各々までのチャンネルである請求の範囲第21項記載の装 置。 26.各ウェルが少なくとも一つの分析薬品を有する複数の分析ウェルを収納す るハウジング;前記ハウジングの外部表面に設けられた液体受け入れ手段;前記 ウェルと前記液体導入手段との間に液体を流通させる液流案内手段;及び前記分 析ウェルと流体連 通し、75psi以下の圧力において液体の連通を阻止する通気,液体バリアか らなる分析装置。 27.前記バリアは疎水性の材料からなる請求の範囲第26項記載の装置。 28.前記バリアは、水溶液と接触したとき液体の流通を阻止するように自己シ ールする材料からなる請求の範囲第26項記載の装置。 29.前記バリアが薄膜である請求の範囲第26項記載の装置。 30.前記薄膜は前記ウェルの一側面の少なくとも一部を覆うようにつくられた 請求の範囲第29項記載の装置。
