Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.部分透過隔膜(6)によって分離されている陽極室(2)と陰極室(3) を有する電解槽(1)を連続的に運転して白液を処理する方法において、電解槽 (1)の陽極室(2)へ白液を供給し電解槽(1)の陰極室(3)へアルカリ金 属水酸化物の水溶液を供給して、陽極室(2)で硫化物を酸化し、同時にアルカ リ金属陽イオンが隔膜(6)を透過して陰極室(3)へ移行し、そこで水と反応 して水酸化物イオンを生成することを特徴とする硫化物を含有する白液の処理方 法。 2.白液中の硫化物を酸化し本質的に多硫化物を生成するように陽極電位を維 持することを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 3.25℃における1MのNaOHの中でのHg/Hg0基準電極に対して測 定した時に、陽極電位が約−0.6Vから約+0.6Vの範囲に維持されている ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載の方法。 4.使用する陽極(4)が高い耐アルカリ性を有し且つルテニウム、イリジウ ム、白金およびパラジウムの酸化物の1種または2種以上で表面被覆されている キャリヤー材料で作られていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項ないし第3項 のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 5.三次元貫通流型電極が陽極(4)として使用されていることを特徴とする 請求の範囲第1項ないし第4項のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 6.複数層のエキスパンデッドメタルを組み合わせた三次元メッシュ型電極が 陽極(4)として使用されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項に記載の方 法。 7.陽極室内の電解液の流れが乱流であることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項 ないし第6項のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 8.ガス拡散型電極が陰極として使用され、酸素含有ガスが陰極に供給される ことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項ないし第7項のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 9.陽極室の温度が約60℃から沸点までの範囲に維持されていることを特徴 とする請求の範囲第1項ないし第8項のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 10.アルカリ金属陽イオンを透過させるが硫化物および多硫化物を本質的に 透過させない陽イオン選択膜が、隔膜(6)として陽極室(2)と陰極室(3) の間に使用されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項ないし第9項のいずれ か1項に記載の方法。 11.少なくとも白液の一部が請求の範囲第1項ないし第10項のいずれか1 項に記載の方法によって電気化学的に処理されることを特徴とするアルカリ蒸解 によるセルロースパルプの製造方法。 12.請求の範囲第1項ないし第10項のいずれか1項に記載の方法によって 白液を処理するための好適な電解槽において、該電解槽が陽極室(2)に設けら れた陽極(4)と、陰極室(3)に設けられた陰極(5)と、陽極室と陰極室を 分離している隔膜(6)とから成り、陽極(4)が高い耐アルカリ性を有し且つ ルテニウム、イリジウム、白金およびパラジウムの酸化物の1種または2種以上 で表面被覆されたキャリヤー材料のエキスパンデッドメタルを複数層組み合わせ た三次元貫通流型電極であることを特徴とする電解槽。
