Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.クロロ炭化水素調節剤の存在下でエチレンと酸素からエチレンオキシドを蒸 気相製造するための触媒であって、触媒の最初の使用以前に、触媒的に有効な量 の銀と、促進量のアルカリ金属と、少なくとも85重量%のαアルミナを含む担 体に堆積した銀1モル当たり0.4×10-3〜4×10-3モルの塩化物とを含有 する前記触媒。 2.担体が0.1〜0.6ml/gの水細孔容積と0.1〜3m2 /gの表面積 を有する請求の範囲1に記載の触媒。 3.銀の量が全触媒の1〜40重量%であり、アルカリ金属プロモーターの量が 金属として表した場合に全触媒の10〜3000重量ppmの範囲である請求の 範囲1に記載の触媒。 4.銀が全触媒の12〜18重量%であり、塩化物含量が全触媒の20〜200 重量ppmである請求の範囲3に記載の触媒。 5.前記アルカリ金属プロモーターがカリウム、ルビジウム、セシウム、リチウ ム及びその混合物から選択される請求の範囲1に記載の触媒。 6.レニウム、硫黄、モリブデン、タングステン及びクロムから選択される1種 以上の付加的プロモーター又はコプロモーターが存在する請求の範囲1に記載の 触媒。 7.金属として表した場合に全触媒の1〜40重量%の銀化合物、金属として表 した場合に全触媒の10〜3000重量ppmのアルカリ金属化合物及び堆積し た銀1モル当たり0.4×10-3〜4×10-3モルの塩化物を担体に堆積するの に十分な銀化合物、アルカリ金属化合物及び塩化物含有化合物を適切な溶媒に溶 解した1種以上の溶液を、少なくとも85重量%のαアルミナを含有する担体に 含浸させることからなる、エチレンと分子酸素からエチレンオキシドを蒸気相製 造するための触媒の製造方法。 8.含浸後に50℃〜600℃の温度に加熱することにより銀を金属銀に還元す る請求の範囲7に記載の方法。 9.塩化物含有化合物がアルカリ金属塩化物又は塩化アンモニウムである請求の 範囲7又は8に記載の方法。 10.エチレン、酸素及びクロロ炭化水素調節剤の存在下で触媒をエチレンオキ シド形成温度まで加熱することにより新規触媒を仕込んだエチレンオキシド反応 器を始動する方法において、触媒的に有効な量の銀と、促進量のアルカリ金属と 、少なくとも85重量%のαアルミナを含有する担体に堆積した銀1モル当たり 0.4×10-3〜4×10-3モルの塩化物とを含有する触媒を新規触媒として使 用することからなる改良。
