The operation of the static eliminator with a monitor constructed as described above is as follows. When the passenger grips the pull handle 3 with his / her hand when getting off the vehicle, the charged + or − static electricity flows from the electrode plate 7 to the body through the resistors R1 and R2. At that time, the discharge is performed with the discharge time constant including the resistors R1 and R2 and the resistors thereafter, so that the spark is not generated and the occurrence of the electrostatic shock is suppressed.

At the same time, when a divided voltage of a predetermined level generated in the resistor R2 is input to the switching means 10 with respect to an electrostatic voltage of a voltage level that is subject to electrostatic shock,
A switching signal is output regardless of its polarity. As a result, the light emission signal generation means 12 outputs a light emission signal having a pulse width of, for example, a few seconds which is longer than the normal discharge time and is visible, and the light emission drive means 13 lights the LED 14 during that time. As a result, the occupant can confirm the discharge of static electricity, and can release the vehicle with peace of mind by releasing the hand after the LED 14 is turned off.

FIG. 4 illustrates a more specific monitor embodiment. For example, + electrostatic voltage exceeding a predetermined level (see FIG.
(A) is generated in the electrode plate 7, the switching means 17 performs a switching operation to turn on during that level, and the battery 16 supplies the power supply voltage to the power supply capacitor C1 (see FIG.
B) is charged, and the reverse current is blocked by the reverse current blocking diode D2.
1 is applied to the collector. On the other hand, the voltage for light emission signal is charged in the capacitor C2 through the backflow prevention diode D1. As a result, the capacitance of the capacitor, the base resistor R3, and the resistor R4 that looks large according to the current amplification factor.
The base current of the transistor TR1 (FIG. 5C) is supplied for several seconds with a time constant defined by and the LED 14 is driven by the amplified current. The LED 14 is turned off while gradually dimming over a longer period of time as the discharge is completed, that is, when the switching means 17 is turned off, thereby ensuring a reliable discharge. As switching means, product name 74LS
An equivalent operation can be performed using the IC No. 04 and the like.
