When the flow rate of the cooling gas 12 is increased, the pressure in the cooling gas passage 13 becomes high, and the wall thicknesses of the inner pipe 9 and the outer pipe 10 are made thicker in terms of strength. However, the detector 6 has a drawback that the ability of the detector 6 to detect elementary particles is reduced.
