However, the heat press method requires a special device for that purpose,
In addition, there is a fear of burns, etc., so that it cannot be easily performed by anyone.
On the other hand, the method using adhesive sheets can be easily performed by anyone. However, after pasting once, when trying to take out an article such as a business card, the article is broken by the adhesive force of the adhesive sheet. There is a problem that the glue is left on the surface of the article and contaminates the article.

Means for Solving the Problems The inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies to achieve the above object, and as a result, they have shown substantially no tackiness on the substrate as an adhesive sheet. By using a layer of a specific pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that exhibits self-adhesiveness, it is possible to sufficiently protect the cover of articles such as business cards, and to break or contaminate the article when releasing this cover protection. Knowing that such problems can be avoided, the present invention has been completed.

The layer comprising the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition provided on the substrate has the following formula: (R is a straight-chain or branched hydrocarbon group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms) containing a polyester having a polycarbonate structure as a main component. The weight average molecular weight is 30,000 or more, preferably 50,000 or more (usually up to 300,000). If the weight average molecular weight is less than 30,000, the cohesive strength is insufficient, which is not preferable.

Although such a polyester can be synthesized by various methods, it is usually preferable to synthesize it by a condensation reaction using a diol and / or dicarboxylic acid having a polycarbonate structure. Particularly, diols having a polycarbonate structure are preferably used because they are commercially available. In this case, the esterification reaction between the diol component, which requires a diol having a polycarbonate structure as an essential component, and a dicarboxylic acid component can be carried out according to a conventional method using no catalyst or an appropriate catalyst. In this case, the diol component and the dicarboxylic acid component are desirably in equimolar reaction, but any one of them may be used in excess to promote the esterification reaction.

Next, a method for coating and protecting an article such as a business card by using the adhesive sheet for coating protection of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows an example in which an article is coated and protected only with the adhesive sheet for coating protection of the present invention, and FIG. 2 shows an article using the adhesive sheet for coating protection and a non-adhesive sheet of the present invention. This is an example of coating protection.

In FIG. 1, two sheets of the adhesive sheet for covering protection of the present invention are used. The two protective sheets 1 of the present invention having a configuration in which a layer 11 made of the specific adhesive composition is provided on a base material 10 on the front surface 3a and the back surface 3b of an article 3 such as a business card. 1 adhesive surface, that is, the above layers 11, 11
The sides are brought into close contact with each other, and the adhesive surfaces are bonded together at the peripheral edge to form an adhesive seal portion 4. As a result, the article 3 is covered and protected by the adhesive sheets 1 and 1 having the above configuration.

In this example, the self-adhesiveness of the coating-protecting adhesive sheet is used as it is. Since the self-adhesive force is large, strong coating protection is achieved. On the other hand, in order to release the coating protection, the adhesive surfaces adhered to the adhesive seal portion 4 may be peeled off from each other, and at this time, the surface of the article 3 is non-adhesive or slightly adhesive at room temperature. Since the layer 11 composed of the composition is merely in close contact with the layer, it does not mean that the layer 11 is strongly adhered. Therefore, there are no particular problems such as tearing of the article and generation of adhesive residue on the article surface.

In the above example, instead of using two sheets of covering and protecting adhesive sheets, one sheet of covering and protecting adhesive sheets is used and this is folded in half. Various modifications can be made such that the article is brought into close contact with both the front and back surfaces, and the adhesive faces are adhered to each other at the periphery to cover and protect the article in a bag shape.

In FIG. 2, an adhesive sheet for coating protection of the present invention and a non-adhesive sheet having an adhesive force of 1 kg / 20 mm width or more are used. On the surface 3a of the article 3 such as a business card, the adhesive surface of the coating protective adhesive sheet 1 of the present invention having the base material 10 and the layer 11 composed of the specific adhesive composition, that is, the above-mentioned layer 11 side The adhesive surface is adhered to the non-adhesive sheet 2 closely attached to the back surface 3b side of the article 3 at the peripheral edge to form an adhesive seal portion 5. As a result, the article 3 is covered and protected between the adhesive sheet 1 and the non-adhesive sheet 2 having the above configuration.

This example utilizes the adhesive force of the adhesive sheet for coating protection of the present invention to non-adhesive sheets, and the above-mentioned non-adhesive sheets include an adhesive sheet. The same adhesive strength as that of the base material constituting the kind, for example, polyester film or polycarbonate film, the above-mentioned adhesive strength is 1 kg / 20 mm width or more, especially 2.5-10 kg / 2.
Those having a width of 0 mm are preferably used. Also in this example, strong covering protection is achieved, and the release can be achieved by peeling off the adhesive surface of the adhesive seal portion 5, and in this case,
The surface of the article 3 is only in close contact with the layer 11 made of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that is non-adhesive or slightly adhesive at room temperature, and is not strongly adhered. There is no particular problem such as generation of glue residue.

As a result, there is no problem that the above-mentioned peeling is easy and the business card is broken, and there is no problem that the business card is contaminated by adhesive residue remaining on the business card surface.

As described above, in the present invention, polycarbonate sheets are provided on a substrate as adhesive sheets which are closely adhered to the surface of the article and cover and protect the article by an adhesive seal at the peripheral portion. Business cards, etc. by using a layer having a layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition that is mainly composed of a polyester having a polyester structure and is non-adhesive or slightly adhesive at room temperature and exhibits self-adhesiveness by appropriately crosslinking the polyester. In this case, it is possible to sufficiently protect the article from covering, and to avoid damage or contamination of the article when the covering protection is released.
